There is a little rust on the front edge of the chassis, nothing major though, pic uploaded.

I bought the machine from Jet espresso in 2011, was serviced a couple of times after buying it but not recently, have just done it myself. Re: filter, its a 2 stage filter under the sink, before that, the stock fisher & paykel one attached to my fridge.

Am happy for you to come have a look on Friday as long as its early (before 10am) as i have people over for lunch. PM for details

Does the chassis have any rust? Any chance of a photo with the drip tray off?

Also has this been serviced recently? Which filter have you been using?

The meCoffee mod was the best $200 (120eu) ever spent, took all the guesswork out of the silvia, ie temperature surfing etc. My wife always struggled with getting a consistent shot & milk texturing before the meCoffee, now its close to perfect every time (she struggles with adjusting the grinder if needed).

Regularly back flushed, descaled & cleaned daily. Have only used filtered water from day one.
