Nice price! Wish I could justify another grinder. This is a ripper. Where are you located Dave?

This is a popular grinder, and to be able to buy a good second hand unit, represents a good buy for someone looking to upgrade their kit. It has a nice footprint and the looks for spousal approval. To bring attention to the cheap offering online is poor form. Most people here look after their gear and if the 2nd hand price is a bit higher than elsewhere, it is because it is in good condition. People should be encouraged to sell their gear here first. If you think the price is unrealistic, then negotiate off line, or buy elsewhere.

I am curious as to what you are upgrading to Dr Dave. I am very happy with my M4D, and Bosco, and do not see any need to upgrade the grinder. For improved flavour, I just buy high quality green beans (cupping scores of 88+), as that has been the most noticeable improvement, and bang for buck.

No I won't be buying it and the price is 'fair', if you like. 2nd hand M4Ds were selling for over $750.00 in 2012, on this site.

The price should encourage a buyer as it's actually more than fair. Good luck Dr_Dave, you're going to make someone very happy!

I fail to see how site sponsor pricing is relevant here as I'm assuming you don't provide a warranty or service equipment, which would be the primary reasons for buying from them- knowing you'll be looked after post sale.

I've PMd you the first link that came up when I googled Macap M4D. Admittedly the chrome is an extra $40.
    Yes I know that company.

You won't see that pricing on their website in 14 days time and the chrome is an extra $50 on their site.

It's $950 (not $940 as per your other post), and the warranty is described as a 'parts warranty'.

$650 for a grinder with new burrs seems fair enough to me.

The (previous) site sponsor (I am not sure if forum rules permit me to name him as he is not a current sponsor) - that I purchased from advertises them at $1100 on their site today, Im sure others are cheaper
