Read lots of great stuff about the sette. Doesn't seem to stand up in taste tests against the big commercial grinders though.

Agreed. I use the term "souped up appliance" and it's a long way from the best grinder ever made. It didn't stand up back to back against my Olympia Moca which for a planar delivered more conical in the cup than the Sette.

The OP's Compak will blow it away. Ripper grinder if you have the funds and space.

Subtle dig at ***** who claims the sette 270 is the best home grinder on the market, when here we have an e10 and a mythos 1, arguably better home grinders.

I lucked in to a crazy cheap mythos 1, otherwise I'd be holding in to it

2016 Compak E10 conical

Purchased in July last year and done three or four coffees a day since then (minus holidays, so basically bugger all)

Machine is in immaculate condition with one or two minor scuff marks from use

Talk Coffee has them new for $2525, I'm looking for $2100

I have the short K3 hopper to fit it on my kitchen cabinets, but larger hoppers are available

Location is Caulfield in Melbourne and pick up is preferable, but happy to ship at buyer's expense and risk
