Have only ever used Double/Triple E.P. Precision baskets that I bought from Talk Coffee a couple of years ago.
If you have a Pullman precision tamper base that you want to fit to the Macap Tamper for example, all that is required is to drill and tap out to the thread used on the Macap. Not a big deal really.
Some other brands may already use an identical thread and save the need to do this...

Dead easy and fast to use, and of course, very consistent results in the cup.

I've often wondered about getting one of these. Like you've mentioned, it would certainly speed up the tamping process for a work situation.

Just wondering if you can share any experience of tamping using this tamper with various baskets... stock or VST/etc.

Appreciate your help and also good luck with the sale.

Since I'm getting out of Espresso (but not coffee altogether), I'm going to start offering items that I will no longer have a use for. The first item up for grabs is this Macap Lever operated Tamper. For anyone who has difficulty producing consistently reliable tamps or perhaps for someone starting to fit out a Cafe, Coffee Van, Cart etc...

My lovely lady (who does all the packing around here) had already encapsulated the Tamper in several layers of Bubble Wrap before I could take any photos. Rest assured though, the Tamper has been looked after as well as any and all of my coffee paraphernalia.

Bought new from Talk Coffee a couple of years ago and only ever used here at home for a couple of coffees/day. Has both the 58mm and 52mm tamping bases. Will be securely packed and boxed for courier pickup if required.

Asking $245.00 + Shipping at buyers expense.
