This is the sale and celebration of my Sunbeam em6910. It’s a well used and well loved machine that has served me amazingly for the last 10 years. It’s an early model, which means it’s made with thicker and more robust casing materials. I have another 6910 I have been using for spare parts, this is also included. On the spare machine the board has a burnt out triac, but that was its only issue.
Over the years it’s had quite a few parts replaced. Recently I replaced the collar and steam pump. The machine works well without any issues that I’m aware of. There’s a slight drip from the group seal, I’ve included a spare group seal. Just haven’t got around to changing it and hasn’t been enough of an issue.
The machine has always been well maintained, backflushing and group cleaning with descaling tablets.
The machine comes with 1 portafilter with a triple basket, the original filter baskets, unused Sunbeam tamper, and spouts.
The top part of the machine was changed to the spare one I had. Reason for this was the board beneath the buttons went and rather than change the board I just changed the whole top. Lazy I know. It means it’s got a coated top piece rather than brushed metal top (pictures show some chipping). But I still have the original and you could change it if you want to.
I’ve upgraded and no longer need this machine. It’s been a big part of my life for a long time and it’s the end of an era, so a bit sad for me really. I hope it can go to a home where it will continue to get some love.
