  • !!!SOLD!!! - [MELB] - Rancilio Silvia V3 + PID

    Hi all,

Selling my Silvia V3 due to upgrading some months back. I am the second owner and have had the machine for about 9 months. Machine was serviced in August last year by the previous owner.

Machine is fitted with a Watlow PID which has been installed behind the backplate and thus not visible in the pictures.

The PID provides stable brewing temperature and also more powerful steaming. When I first got the machine I had plans to relocate the PID to the outside so that I could use it easily, but after playing around with the temperatures I settled back on the recommended setting and never touched it again. I appreciated the PID hidden away so that the machine looks as "clean" as possible.

    Comes with:
    - Rancilio Portafilter
    - Standard single basket
    - La Marzocco double basket

Backflushed after every use and chemically flushed weekly.

Looking for $550 - Pickup in Croydon area Melbourne.

Hi, I have sent you a PM. Just want to know how old it was when you bought it?

Hey, my old machine....I still have fond memories of her...she is 90% of the Rocket Evo that I bought for $3500...

I was talking to a guy last weekend about machines and I still think this (with the PID) is just sensational performance for the money!!!!

This machine, some barista training, a great grinder and some decent scales....DONE!

Yep, she's a great machine indeed!

Only reason for upgrading was due to the fact we entertain a lot and making multiple drinks in a row was tedious on the Silvia.

Quality of the espresso and milk texture is definitely up there and paired with a good grinder and some practice will produce excellent coffees.

I'd say 6 years....however....1 coffee per day for 5 of them...constant backflushing and cleaning and went to Coffee-a-roma for regular servicing (they replace all seals as due course)...and the last service was done just prior to sale to ensure she was perfect....so immaculate condition

Giving this a bump. Previous buyer fell through.
