Check your Private Messaging settings in the General Settings area to make sure Private Messaging is turned on. Double check the other settings in that area as well to make sure they're set to what you want.
If this roaster is in fact sold the seller should make a post saying so at which point I will close the thread and move it to the SOLD forum.

I found the setting! My PMs were working, just not saving in the outbox... Once the deed is done I'm sure they'll request it moved. Thanks.

PM conversations are threaded by default in the Quick Reply box. When you open a PM you've received you will see that in the Quick Reply box is a quote of the received PM. You can leave the quote in place and it will appear in your reply to the sender. If there is a chain of PM's being exchanged the system will nest each response/reply with-in the quote. If the quote(s) are ever removed from a reply it/they will no longer appear in any further PM's exchanged in that chain.

I thought I had this problem too, but it appears that by default, outbound PMs are not stored in your Sent box, so you have no history of what you have sent or replied to.

If you edit your profile/settings, you can find the area where you need to tick "Store PMs in Sent box" or words to that effect.

It also doesn't appear that PM conversations are threaded so you need to jump back and forth between your inbox and your sent box.

Gene roaster, purchased in 2014, heating element replaced in 2017 so still has a lot of life in it.
