Last bump.
I'll leave it for another week and if no interest will keep it for travelling.

Someone should buy this - things I love about the Flair:
You don't need a fancy grinder for the Flair. The beauty of the Flair, and any lever espresso machine / gadget is that they are more forgiving on the grind. Pump espresso machines only have one pressure setting and so you have to get the grind perfect to get a great shot. Not so with lever style. You can make subtle adjustments to pressure and get a great shot. This is why I rate lever machines over pump machines at home because you don't have to rip through so much coffee dialling in the grind every time you buy new beans.
It's perfectly clean every time you use it.
It takes up no space on your bench top - unclick it and slide into a draw easy peasy.
Indestructible. You may need to replace the seals and one other part over time but they would all cost less than $5 and you can do it yourself. Super cheap in long term.
You can get a second head and make a big fat espresso if you want.
Love mine, give it a shot if you haven't, and especially if you don't yet have an espresso machine.

!!!WITHDRAWN!!! - FS [MEL]: Flair Espresso Maker, Single Head, $200, As New
Flair Espresso Maker (NOT Signature)
Comes with everything in the Single Head Bundle including Stainless Steel Tamper.
It does have the new large hole portafilter holder which can accommodate the naked portafilter.
This comes with the standard portafilter (not the more recent easy-to-clean).
Purchased from site sponsor and received 2 weeks ago (26 Oct).
It cost me $228.95. Original Receipt Provided.
Minimal use. "As New" Condition."
Pick up Blackburn.
Reason for sale:
I wanted to try it. I am an espresso drinker and thought it may replace my single boiler machine.
I liked the idea of a manual coffee maker, no pumps, minimal warm-up time.
I also thought the espresso may be better.
It is certainly good but I can't say definitively better, and simply not as convenient as my espresso machine.
Also, I didn't realise I was such a creature of habit, and miss the 50ml shots from 19-20g beans I regularly have.
The maximum shot I can produce with the Flair is 40ml from 15-16g.Tags: None
