!!!SOLD!!! - FS: [BNE] Compak K10 WBC Grinder
It's time to say goodbye to my trust Titan Compak K10 WBC. This grinder doesn't really need any introduction, having been a favourite of the coffee world for years.
This is the WBC version, which from what I understand was more focused towards single dosing and didn't have the auto-fill mechanism. I replaced the 68mm conical burrs last year (mid-2017), so they are just about run in (approx 20kg through it). As part of the sale, I'm also including the burrs I removed, which had heaps (but I can't really quantify) of life left.
As clearly shown in the pictures, there are a few cosmetic defects that have no bearing on the functionality at all. I exclusively single dosed this grinder and found the chute really easy to get a small brush in to ensure no retention. I also modified the doser slightly to sweep a little cleaner.
I replaced the start/run motor capacitors with genuine parts from the Aussie distributor, the factory capacitors were known to cause stalling, this hasn't happened since the upgrade.
Included are two hoppers, the original 1.5kg capacity hopper (not pictured, in brand new condition) and the 'gourmet' 300g hopper.
This grinder really helped me produce some great shots with my old Domus Galatia and my current L1 lever.
Selling due to a sideways step to a Niche Zero.
Pickup only on Brisbane Northside. I'll only consider postage as a last resort, this thing is solid and heavy.
