With considerable regret I'm parting with my entire coffee system. A recent skirmish with the dreaded "C" word left me without a parotid gland, with extensive nerve damage to the side of my face, and 6 weeks of follow-up radiation therapy destroyed what little was left of my sense of taste. All coffee now tastes the same - awful! It's not all bad though - the radiation also killed off facial hair on that side of my face, so shaving now only takes half the time it used to.
My system comprises both roasting and coffee making:
Roasting - a nominally 600g capacity Sonofresco fluid bed roaster, complete with chimney extension to facilitate indoor use in a cafe or coffee bar. It's currently set up with LPG piping but it has the changeover piping for use with mains gas. It's a "set and forget" process which I've found gives extremely good roast results, but it can readily be converted to a fully computer-controlled system - which I was about to do until . . . And if you believe in Kev's laws, this unit should go faster than others because mines a red one, eh!
As a bonus I'll also include my faithful little back-up unit - a 250g Gene Cafe drum roaster, complete with a few spare parts.
But wait - there's more! There's also a home-made cooling system that I dump the roasted beans into for very rapid cooling. And since I'll no longer have any use for them, there's a 3 - 4kg assortment of Andy's wonderful beans to get you started. All up - $2,250
Coffee-making - an Alex Duetto II, regularly serviced and in perfect working order - and with no wet steam! It's set up as a stand-alone unit, which means manually filling the water tank and emptying the drainage tray, but it can be easily plumbed in to mains supply and drainage if you're lucky enough to have that sort of setting. To accompany it there's an Anfim Best grinder and an assortment of necessary support items - bump box, Pullman tamper, VST double basket, group head cleaning brush, back-flush cleaner, grinder cleaner and Incasa milk jug. All up - $2,500
I want to keep it simple and sell each package as detailed; I don't want to split either package up into components.
I'm located near the Swan Valley on Perth's northern fringe, but I'm happy to deliver within the Perth metro area or to a packing company for interstate movement.
