Beautiful black Mazzer Robur 2013

I purchased this superb grinder around one year ago from a small Thai restaurant which had thought they were going to make coffees but ended up closing their coffee section down (very few people wanted coffee with lovely spicy Thai food).

When I bought it the auto-fill flap had already been removed (thankfully). I just needed to remove the chute mesh and added the Schnozzle mod to distribute evenly into the PF. Dosing chamber lid and hopper are available with the grinder and are all in excellent condition. I set those aside and never used them as I single dose exclusively.

Cosmetically the grinder is in excellent condition, indicative of its low usage. When I bought it I noticed 4 only portafilter chips in the usual spot on the base which I touched up. Apart from that there are a few very fine scuff marks. Overall I’d give it a 9 out of 10.

Produces beautiful cafe quality coffee and every time. In my opinion the doser model Robur is better suited to single dosing than the Robur E as there is no need to be messing about with the key pad when cleaning the chute with an artist’s brush, and the process of the coffee going through the doser removes static and clumps.

Even though the grinder has only been used for two beverages per day over the past year, the burrs were cleaned with Grindz every week and each month I removed the burrs and gave the chamber a good clean, and cleaned and lubricated the threads.
