!! SOLD !! Sunbeam em0480 4-Sale

Hi Sledge

I am in the process of securing an upgrade on my EM0480 grinder.

Once that occurs (expected shortly) the EM0480 will be for sale - here in Perth.

It is about 5 months old and has done an average of 10 doses per week in that time. In other words, its as new.

It has all the gizmos that come with it, including the instruction book etc. It has been cleaned regularly.

Id be looking for about $130 or an offer for it.

Well, Ive had no responses on this one.

The EM0480 market has obviously tanked (I heard from an accountant mate of mine that Sunbeam have their first containers of mazzer killers on the docks and about to be delivered to all Hardly Normal stores - these new babies have a full stainless steel housing for the lux burrs, plus are stepless - AND the price on these mk II versions of the EM0480 is rumoured to be less than $150).

So its SELL SELL SELL my EM0480 before it is worthless.

So mine to the first person that PMs me - Im now asking $80 (but postage not included).

Wow, thats one big massive statement ....the Only Mazzer "Challengers" that I see is Macap and Compak

But a Killer?? mmmm... This I gotta see... and less for $150... Is China in a recession as well?

Well, despite my gloomy prognosis on the EM0480 market, mine has now sold, so this puts a floor under the market price.

Im just about to sell mine to Myer for $199. Well, Im going to get a refund as I bought one with my machine on the understanding theyd take it back unopened (ie the free one) and that has just arrived.

Just back from Myer with a refund for the grinder - no questions asked. (I had made sure before I bought it that theyd take the free one back - and we made sure it was in the same packaging).
Thats the beauty of Myer - they are really customer-focussed when it comes to that sort of thing. Its nothing for them to put the box back in the shelf - unlike some smaller retailers who would make a big song and dance about it. In fact, they did well, getting three weeks interest on my money!

I agree with flatwhite - I have had no issues with returns etc over the years.
