!! SOLD !! Sunbeam EMO 480
Briefly, Ive been going through a fairly rapid evolutionary process when it comes to making coffee at home.
2 months ago I was using supermarket bought pre-ground coffee in my 7 year old Saeco Via Venezia. I decided Id start grinding my own but baulked at the price discussed here on CS for "serious" grinders. So I went for the Sunbeam EMO 480 thanks to a great price for cash at a Good Guys outlet ($160).
The improvement in the espresso coming out of my old Via Venezia was instant and amazing and I should have been happy but it seems coffee machinery is like golf gear ... theres always another piece of equipment you can buy that may improve your game!
So now Im the proud owner of a gorgeous new Ascaso Steel Duo teamed with an Isomac Granmacinino grinder while the spotless Sunbeam EMO 480, used probably only 20 times, has been packed back in its box and is looking for a new home. (The Saecos been retired)
Ive never put it to the test on a top shelf espresso machine so I cant endorse it for that but for my basic Via Venezia it certainly did the job. Anyone whos new to grinding their own and runs a mid-range machine should be happy with it.
Im looking for $120 for it and Im in Sydney.
