First cab off the rank! (uh, lathe). Another CSer had a spare portafilter so Ive been able to get one of these made up pre-release as it were. The middle picture shows the portafilter fitted with a ridgeless Synesso basket (not supplied) - theyre certainly a very deep portafilter! The only thing to note with this particular unit is that there are a couple of small scratches where the brass is showing through the chrome near the handle of the portafilter, as visible in the bottom picture. Effect on operation = 0, but if youre as particular as me youll want to know about that sort of thing in advance.
