!!SOLD!!- Bezzera Domus Galatea

Many of you would have read the story of the prodigal Bezzera Domus Galatea- brand new, and sent on a truck to Port Hedland in WA, received damaged and replaced.

On return, we found the machine to be operating perfectly, however the chassis was bent. It has now been repaired and is straight. The machine has received a full rebuild, bench test and calibration.

Externally, the machine is perfect in every way and unmarked: i.e in brand new state. Internally, the nett result after repairs is a single chip in the powdercoat of one of the vertical rails of the chassis. There was no damage whatsoever to internal componentry.

These babies retail for $2750. For sale now at $1850 $1800 which is a saving of $950 on RRP. This price is for cash or direct transfer only.

This machine will be sold as is- with box, manual, accessories: all of the goodies which come with a new machine. Were happy to ship it on a pallet at the cost of the buyer. Melbourne buyers are welcome to have a viewing of the machine.

Id probably go for it if it werent for the fact I already have a Giotto on the way (mm.. shiny)

So to be clear for others, are you saying the machine is not covered by warranty? (Not that it should be a worry, since even if some repair were required, it would probably be a small fraction of the saving you make on the machine in the first place...)

Thats correct Lachlan.

Might I add that this machine is operating perfectly and all tests are 100%. Nothing to worry about IMHO- but I am looking forward to closing the book on this one

Sorry azadean, I regret no reverse auctions . Its a great offer on a machine I could easily sell as brand new and nobody would ever know the difference, but thats not the way Talk Coffee does business.

This is an excellent pickup for someone who was planning on low end HX. You now get a free upgrade to high end HX  8-).

Hi SC,

The machine is for sale as is and without warranty- which is reflected in the price.

This will be noted in the sale documentation and Bezzera have been informed that the machine was written off by Talk Coffee. Fortunately, the repair was simpler than I had anticipated requiring only lots of time to get things right.

Thinking aloud, I should perhaps have posted the original as 2mcm as its basically a personal sale.
