  • WITHDRAWN - Nemox Fenice (NEW) unwanted present

    Hi,

I received a Nemox Fenice as an unwanted present and am now looking to sell it.  Its the grinderless version of the Cafe Del Opera and has the same sized boiler as the Rancilio Silvia.  It is in brand new / unused condition and is located in Sydney, however, I will be in Adelaide in Christmas/New Year.

Retails for $575.  Im looking for $500.

Heres the blurb from the web site:

The small professional...Caffe Fenice has been produced to satisfy those who expect perfection and professional standards. The body work is stainless steel. The large boiler is brass. The solid professional brass filter-holder retains the heat, always guaranteeing an espresso at the ideal temperature.  The specially designed steam spout is equipped with a device for easy frothing of milk when making a cappuccino.

    16 bar pump pressure
    2 Litre water tank
    95 degree celsius coffee thermostat
    125 degree celsius steam thermostat

    By-pass safety valve
    Single and double filters
    Measure/pressure spoon
    Brass boiler
    Stainless steel armoured heating element
    65mm Chromium-plated brass filter holder
    Appliance body - stainless steel

Re: FS: Nemox Fenice (NEW) - unwanted present

    Hi,
How hard would this be for a newby to learn on? Ive heard about temp issues with the silvia, is that the same for the fenice? I assume a by grinderless it means you need a grinder separately.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Its an easy machine to learn on with good steaming ability for its price bracket.

As with all other non-heat exchange machines, you would experience some degree of the temperature surfing issues of the Silvia. Having said that, you would need to spend in excess of $2200 for a heat exchange machine to get better temperature stability (or add a PID to the machine), and I seriously do not think someone newish to coffee would notice the difference in taste.
