The brazil in your starter is  Brazil Caxambu.

The Colombian was Colombia Valle del Cauca Supremo.

The Sumatrian is the latest from the polls.

The India Mysore Nuggets was a Stater pack special, 20kg of a top grade Indian that is the pre-shipment of the current crop.

The starter will nearly always contain the latest beans from the polls, sometimes they will contain an "exclusive" bean that we could only get in small quantity (too small to poll).

They are a truely "random" selection of 4 beans as stated... depending on how many packs were made that month.

Please also note that they ALWAYS freighted the day (or the day after) your payment hits OUR bank account. To be posted any faster would require us to know you want one before you know you want one! ;-)

    Enjoy your roasting.

    A.

    Hi Mal,
    I checked out the "knockbox"
So is the Brazil is the " Brazil Cerrado Bold (Sun Dried) $7.20/kg*" from the May Poll, and the Colombian is the "Colombia Valle del Cauca Supremo - $10/kg*" from the June Poll - as these are the latest that are mentioned?
Sorry, im a bit slow. To me its a bit confusing.
(Beanbay had the Brazil Caxambu and Cerrado. I thought maybe the Starter Pack might have come from here.)

    Gday Pete,

If you head on over to the "Knock Box" here... http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?board=KnockBox, youll find all the original notes for beans that have been polled in the past, including the most recent poll.

    Cheers mate,
    Mal.

Further to my earlier post (this am)... the beans arrived in this mornings post (that would be right, hey!).
Can confirm current stater pack contains: India Mysore Nuggets, Brazil (no other details), Colombian (no other details), Sumatran Manheling.

The argument would be that roasting your own coffee isnt an obsession. A: It allows you to make your wife the best cup of coffee you can, and B: Itll save money (which you can use to either buy your wife a present or upgrade the sunbeam). Seriously, it costs around $20 for a popcorn popper, $30 for a starter pack of 2.4kg of green beans. There is a lot of advice and help available in these forums, and it is very cool to drink coffee that you roasted yourself. I only did my first batch last night, and Im hooked.....

    Give it a go
