Re: Starter Packs for newbie roasters.

It must be the week for speedy beans! We joined up, ordered and paid on
Friday night, beans are here first thing Monday. That must be Melbourne to
Adelaide at about Mach 2    Much appreciated ...

First attempts (starting two weks ago) have been in a B&D popper with some Peru Kontiki beans. After a couple of not so successful attempts at baked beans have now got the hang of getting a reasonable mass of beans in the m/c,  and recognizing first and second crack. Just tried some 48 hrs old, pulled just at the very beginning of second crack. Most impressed, this could get addictive.

Looking forward to playing with this lot ...

Damn that was fast - ordered my starter pack last Thursday, paid for it Friday, beans were just delivered now, early Monday morning

Only problem is that I have to go to work now, so Im not able to try the popcorn popper until I get home tonight. Oh well, it will give me something to think about during the day.
