    Re: December BeanBay

Well we will all watch with interest to see where your beans end-up Belinda. Sorta funny that the hostess of the first Brisbane pickup will have no beans to pickup.

Im happy to hear stories of good dealings with our site sponsors, Im also happy about the cheaper freight too. At $1/kg its a long way under cost (less than half cost for WA) so a big thanks to our great line-up of site sponsors for making that happen. With anyluck this time next year freight is free!

So please continue to support our sponsors who support us, encourage your friends and family to use em too and stick your thumb at the big nasty chain stores and dodgy retailers

Oh, wow! Didnt think I was that quick.
Unfortunately I cant get to Epic for the Perth pickup - a bit hard with a 6 month old in tow to get into town ... but maybe one day, after hearing all the great reviews.

The good thing about 6 month olds is you dont have to tether em when you go out.

I guess like most groups of CSrs around the country... there will be a Perth roasting day one day in the future and that might be a good chance to get together with a bunch of local home roasters.

          Re: December BeanBay

Id love to see some more WA Sponsors, the guys over east do great prices but we cant benefit from their extra services which is a real shame. Not that that will stop me from getting a grinder shortly from the eastern states sponsors.

            Re: December BeanBay

I had a firm here interested and gave the details to Mal.... who passed them on to Andy...

They dont seem to have come on board which is a pity as they have a range of coffee related items from beans (roasted and green), cups, jugs etc right through to commercial machines (new and S/H)....

Must agree with what has been said re sponsors support for shipment. it makes a big difference thats for sure!

If help is needed with the sorting/ distribution at Epic Ill be available.

Dont get me wrong- I am really thankful- Its just that it was slow :-[. I thought id lost the plot a few times as it came up as an error page many times and took close to half hour! I am alive though and smiling, but I thought my heart was gunna explode waiting.
              Thanks prime minister Andy.
Can we have a 3am beanbay next time? :-?
              Looking forward to Christmas.

                Re: December BeanBay

Yeah, the WA sponsor that you spoke of is really keen to get on-board, just a little slow moving (busy with other chores I assume). It will be great to someone good from WA on the sponsors list.

3am BeanBay? Which timezone is that

I really am sorry about the problems, we dont introduce them intentionally, promise! In fact we only recently threw a fairly large pile of money (and an even bigger pile of time) at new hardware and software for CoffeeSnobs. Sadly all the upgrades have just moved the throughput issues somewhere else so we will continue to upgrade and find the performance that we all need to make it run smoothly.

Even though a few people have posted about problems today we had a steady stream of orders coming through so it wasnt all bad for all people.

The real upside is that we are improving all the time and one day it will be great.

Heck, after years of trying (and a monster bankroll) Ticketek still fall over everytime a big name act sells tickets.

                  Re: December BeanBay

                  Dear Andy,

Managed to put the stuff I wanted on the shopping cart, but as many other people, no go after that. When I came back on to finalise my order the contents of the shopping trolley had dissappeared and the coffees in question sold out.

Are the contents of the shopping cart supposed to time out after a while?

                  Cheers!

                  FJ.

                      Re: December BeanBay

On the subject of sponsors, aside from Pullman Tampers do we have any here in South Aussie? I looked at everybody here and they all seem to be Everywhere but Adelaide.

I would love to support site sponsors - and quite happy to in most cases, though I also like to support local SA business.

                        Hi Lucinda,

Were close to SA and have shipped to a number of clients over your way. We would be delighted to assist at any time!

                          Re: December BeanBay

If we load up with members the way we are going I can see us needing Snob IDs for in-person shopping - to let the sponsors know just how often we drift in and out.

I made an order today from Coffee Parts - hooray! I am looking forward to getting the Faema back into the fray.
