Tea has arrived safely Andy, thankyou very much. And I love the calico bag.

It arrived as I was watering the Tomatoes and herbs, and just in the nick of time as I had just ran out after making Iced Tea.

Man did that Earl Grey smell good or what, even the Aussie Post parcel guy commented on it, and tastes sooo good too.

Glad you like the effort and the product lucinda and loffey, we will chalk that up as another tick beside the things we should revisit next year.

I have NEVER come across an Earl Grey that you could smell from 50 meters until this month. No wonder it had a "best before June 2009" on the carton, I think it might be the 2008 crop

Posties all across the country had the same thoughts. I know the local mail center all commented "wow, are you doing tea this month too?" which was followed by a small group of Austpost employees "satchel sniffing" and debating if the Indian or the Celyon tea was better. ... and that is through a zip bag, cotton bag and plastic satchel.

Hope your families and friends that you share the tea with enjoy it too.

Begs the question... how airtight is a zip lock bag really?

                    Airtight yes, odour tight no.
Ill let someone else speculate on particle size

The zip bag inside a cotton bag inside a satchel is a good way of moving this stuff around the country without fear of damage. Once you get it home I suggest a good odour tight container to keep the tea fresh.
Or if your name is Grendel then stick it into little billy tins (looking forward to seeing those too)

I spoke with Corey at Epic on Wednesday, they like to close at 3.30 on fridays to give the staff an early break to the weekend - and to get going with the end-of-week cleaning.

I know that I can probably make it to an earlier start at 2.30 but Im not sure how many others can.

Done the tins and labels already - will post some pictures over the weekend!

Edited a little later by me: Why wait? Internet says I can have them now - or the design I did for the lids anyway.

Very nice Grendel, Im sure everyone will be most impressed with the tins and their contents. Makes for a good ol time, sincere Christmas present made with love.

Sydney, Queensland and Perth bulk orders were couriered out today after the last of the payments came though.

Perth might be a little tight for next friday (have to wait and see) but Im sure the others will all get there in plenty of time.

Next year we will need to put some sort of cut-off for the bulk freight, if payments are not in fast enough then the offending members beans will have to be shipped on their own (at the owners extra expense). Its not fair that the slow payers can hold-up the delivery for everyone else.

Ill also look into other banks to see if we can find one that processes payments faster. The extra day that gets lost in the bank transfer twilight-zone can be the difference in getting beans out and moving faster before the weekend hits.

Anyway, most of the beans are moving around the country and if you didnt get yours this week then they should arrive soon.

                              Enjoy!

Andy, I am with a credit Union, they are usually pretty good and super fast in processing stuff. They also dont have high fees either.
