    Re: BeanBay

Robusto - Ive had some success sharing bean bay bidding duties with JavaB over here. Hes been able to buy when I am not online and Ive been able to return the favour for him - are there any snobs in your area who might bid for you - and phone you before hand to let you know what is on offer?

                    Re: BeanBay

I have a bit more than 10kg but only roast for emergencies and a bit of education.

When I have my new heat gun powered contraption finished I may roast more often.

I wonder if coffee beans could replace wheat as a heat pack filler?

Then again Ive already experimented with microwave roasting and survived to deplore the results. . .

I store my beans with my wine as it provides additional thermal mass to reduce temperature variation.

                              Re: BeanBay

Having too many varieties can be a dilemma. Which to roast together. Which to keep apart.... Sometimes it all becomes too hard, so I resort to scooping some from whichever bag is closest without even reference to the lable. After all, they are all bought beans of quality and destined for the barbecue.

(actually the main aim of this seemingly pointless post is to supercede the last Knock Box entry : "Oh no, Im out of beans".

                              Im tired of seeing it.

This should solve that ...for a while.
