    Re: BeanBay - April

Woohoo did I time that well.
Came online 10 mins before kickoff.
Got some Monsooned PB, the Grace Estate and the Harrar.
Wasnt sure about the other 2 and the JBM is still too rich for my wallet.

      Andy,

I hope you dont get lots of hate mail in the morning.....

There will probably be a fair bit left in any case, just hope they appreciate your difficulty with a new system...

        Re: BeanBay - April

I tried a Kona about 6 weeks ago that was very uninteresting (more so than most) and not worth the $60/kg asking price.

It was the reason that we ended up with a JBM. Top shelf is worth a try if only to say you have.

          Re: BeanBay - April

I was just heading to bed and just had a little hunch, been feeling it all day that it may be tonight (call me psychic).

So I checked with about 2 minutes to go

Smooth as Andy- I threw up a single error after I chose my first bean on the way back to the selection- but went straight back in and sensational performance from there onwards...Looks like the beanbay code will now stand up to 100s of caffeine fuelled CSers all wanting a simultaneous one....:P

            Fantastic work- Congrats!

Yep lucinda it was very tame compared to the normal scramble....

And 15 minutes after kick off.... there is still 80% to 90% of stocks remaining.

Ive had the opportunity to try some JBM, and I wasnt really impressed. It was a bit too flat for my liking. Doesnt really jump out at you. Could have also been stale too.

Kona seems to have the same stigma surrounding it as JBM. Price equals better, at least my image-conscious/materialistic acquaintances seem to think so anyway.

Okay, I have to say this, I have had both JBM and Kona, very nice, (and no I did not pay $50 per cup - more like $8) I have had better to be honest. From memory they were very smooth but OG and I actually preferred the yirgy or PNG Peaberry over it.
