Heads-up!

As mentioned in the forums the June BeanBay will kick-off Thursday 24th May at midday east coast time.

The BeanBay software has been completely rewritten by our resident code guru Matt (geekrocket) and contains many new features, bells and whistles including the ability to track the FairCrack donations. The software has been tested by the moderators and apart from a handful of typos (all mine) the new BeanBay works like a charm.

Woo Hoo
Another first for BeanBay this month is the availability of CoffeeSnobs Brown! So if you are struggling with the volume of roasting beans for friends, family and colleagues you can now point them at the brown bean section of BeanBay where they can select “roast to order” beans in different sized packages. As true CoffeeSnobs we would always recommend that you purchase whole beans and grind yourself but we can also grind to order if required.

If you are placing an order this month please don’t forget to add a CoffeeSnob member card to your basket. You will find the card in the category called “Other Stuff”. The membership card is free but replacement cards will incur a $5 reprinting fee.

Some of the green beans on offer this month include:
Guatemalan Huehhuetenago (new crop, grade 1)
Peru Segunda Naturals (some of the ugliest beans on the planet but they cup well)
Ethiopian Sidamo Gr 1 (rare find, high grade washed and sorted Ethiopians)
Indian Monsoon Malabar AA (AQIS cleared the container on Monday, Thursday CS has beans!)
Sulawesi Torajah Kalosi (Grade 1 and far better processing than the Mandheling)
As well as a stocktake of some previous BeanBay beans in very small quantities.

A Thursday morning beanbay? I start work at 1.30 in the arvo that day. I would love to know what is coming up so I can at least try and get something.
