Decided the bean bin is well and truly full here, as tempted as I was by the PNG peaberry and the Yemen beans.

I was amazed at the quantity of beans on offer, and subsequently by how quickly they disappeared!

A massive 402 members and guests online last night, with 143 members. Im curious to know what the 261 guests were up to? Any ideas? Im guessing about half just happen to be there, browsing for info.

yea I wondered the same thing. The guests peaked last beanbay as well. I wonder if its not a computer thing and whether your recored as a guest even after you sign in.

Interesting reading these post the rush!

Sorry about the people who missed out but to repeat a theme, CS is not a commercial operation! Andy is the man, that is, he does the processing and he has how many other jobs/ involvements/ commitments?

Given that we are now over the 2,500 member mark we are probably going to start to show some fraying around the edges caused by expectations v demands. Along with that will come some dissatisfaction, anger, etc. I am sure the Mods consider this in their deliberations.

What happens when we get to 5,000? We probably wont be able to have a BeanBay unless someone wants to take it on as a retail situation which means it will be a regular web transaction and all the frustration will be gone. But with that goes issues of storage, overheads, etc.

As for me, Andy and the other Mods are doing us a great service, I love Coffee Snobs and so I am thankful for whatever I can glean from the site in whatever way.

I need to go and rest my head now.

TD, I am sorry you were disapointed but get over it, really. Is it a matter of life and death if you miss out on what you really wanted? Seriously mate, on a scale of one to ten of lifes priorities it isnt on the scale.

Like KoNG, PNG has fast become one of my favourites, and out of the beans on offer this time it was the only one I was interested in.

Good to hear some more PNG may become available soon. But this time I dont think I will have my hopes up so high...

TD I dont know where you are but I have 500g of PNG Peaberry I am more than happy to share with you. If you are in Melbourne you could meet me at the Melbourne pick up and I would happily hand over same, just let me know and I will bring it with me.

The other thing to do is to ask the forum for someone who wants to sell you some of theirs or borrow until next Beanbay.

Reading all these posts, I believe that I was one of the lucky snobs last night to get some Yemen and Bali beans.
I am a new snobs (just joined few days ago) and agree with other snobs that Andy is doing an excellent job in providing such free and wonderful service.
Mate, there should be no frustration in coffeesnobs, be positive and thinking that the next offer will always be better than this one (if you miss out this time).

The bean bay went so smoothly. I couldnt believe how fast those quantities diminished. It looked as though there was a larger quantity of the various beans.

For once I was able to log on and be ready (thankfully work did not keep me out of the fray this time). I have finally sent you payment now that my bank has restored access to online banking after "routine maintenance"  >

To all those who missed out, both the Bali and Ethiopian beans are great...no duds there.
