Wonderful! ...and things arent selling out quite so quick this time, which should please a few people
Thanks for organising such a great service Andy (and others involved)! There are those of us who may not post much here, but we certainly read (and learn) - and the fact that we can get some green beans to experiment with make it just a little bit more special
With each batch I roast I am becoming more confident, and learn a bit each time.
Great ebay Andy - had promised myself I wouldnt buy anything this month but then couldnt resist...went to beanbay an hour after opening and heaps of great gear available. Thanks again!
Just to concur with the other snobs Andy, this process is just so well refined now, from selection to check out, it is too easy. And thanks for the great selection of beans this month, such riches!
We are running-out of "to-dos" in the BeanBay software now (and trying not to invent more!) which is great. The whole system runs well with plenty of information during the process.
Matt has broken-down the GST component this financial year on the invoices so that will keep the ATO bean counters happy. GST is only on the Express Post satchels and the Melbourne courier, not on beans so the total amount seems pretty small.
Most of the other BeanBay changes have only been to the back-end of the system with better reporting and the ability to find/trace an order easier.
I should also make mention of the bean pictures in BeanBay-Green.
We have created our own "standard" for getting pictures of the actual beans on sale.
We take a random 300g sample of green beans and tip them into a white box. The position of this box, the camera settings, the lighting, the photoshop crop/bevel settings are all kept the same for every bean so what you see in the pictures should be a fair indication of the bean you are buying.

I have managed to stay away this time, although the chocolate seems to be calling to me, and I am tempted to get some decaf to try.
Hmmm. What to do?
get both Myrtle! who knows when youre going to get the opportunity to buy that chocolate at this price. check out their website and youll see its a bargain.
As for the decaf...may not be any again for some time, so this is the time!
Yay! Just placed my order. Still heaps left after nearly 12hours opening of beanbay! Took the last of robusta:P Got some decaf, kenya and PNG organic
Hehe lots of caffeine from robusta and none from decaf, makes a perfect balance. hehe
