... Firstly... sorry for not being about when BeanBay kicked-off, I had "watchers" to keep an eye on it but I was at an AASCA meeting, 80km from home.

I have just finished the meeting and have driven to the Snobbery (which is where I am now) to get some roasts out before Easter ... anyway ...

Im due back on the roaster.
... I trust AASCA went well mate ... green-bay went off as usual

back on ya roaster lad, for the good stuff!

Re: GREEN BeanBay - Wednesday 19th March.

Andy, as posted before, i have bought Remys chocolate for her... but i have no idea where she lives, so you may have to change the delivery location... i just picked one
Send me an email and we will sort this off-line.
In future if people are going to buy for someone else then please just get their logon details and you can buy as that person.  That way our address labels and behind the scene process works as it should.  Manual steps in the process are always the ones that give us the most grief and take the most time.
Sorry Andy,.. twas my mess up.  I freaked out because only an hour before Beanbay I put two and two together and realised I had to pick up my daughter right on start of Beanbay. Lizzie kindly jumped in to help me get the choc I have been waiting for for so long.

I will email you now to fix address etc.

Sorry Lizzie,.. and thank you heeeeeeeeeaps!... I can see the choc went pretty fast... I would have missed out,. there was none left when I got back home.

Re: GREEN BeanBay - Wednesday 19th March.

I wanted this Drinking Chocolate badly because my three children are really enjoying their thick foamy hot chocs every morning to start their day
STOP... dont give this stuff to kids, thats what quik is for.  In our house our kids know thats "big people chocolate".

noticed the Mountain Top selling for big dollars... wasnt brave enough for that. What makes this such an pricey bean?
It is actually cheap.  The only other retailer that had the Bin549 was selling it for over $60/kg!  Why so much?  I dont know.  Aussie labour, a special lot, special packaging... a few factors I guess.  The Mountain Top Estate beans command the highest price in the country and have appeared in more than one WBC finalists blends.

I will read threads about raosting the Yemen before I try
Long and slow (tis very dense).  Its an easy bean to roast but just dont rush it.

        back on ya roaster lad
        yep, that time again.

Thanks for the response, Andy. I suspected there might be a reason for omiting all the offerings.

I wish!!! I wouldve gotten away with that a few years ago,.but at 11, 13 & 15 my kids think they are "the big people" ;D.  I think I made my big mistake by letting them try my mochas from Jamaica Blue (not sure what choc they use but it is verry noice) and now they head straight for a mocha when we go to the mall. My 15yr old daughter also works after school in a cafe,.. where they use Monbana choc which is also quite nice. So you see,.. quik just wont cut it anymore. Were using Cadburys ATM, but they know there is better stuff out there.  The girls 11 & 15,.. really lovvve dark chocolate (I hated dark choc as a kid) and  they like the good stuff because its rich, has some bite to it and is not just sickly sweet pale brown milky stuff.  Yeah..theyre big people, lol.

Firstly, Bean Bay worked a treat again, despite so many being on there at start time.

Secondly, really disappointed that I missed out on the African Red Drinking Choc,
cos it went so fast, thought I would have had a few more minutes to get some.
Hope we can have another chance next bean bay....Andy????

Re: GREEN BeanBay - Wednesday 19th March.

I was in fast with a task to get some African red drinking choc and Harrar, but the MT Bin 549 completely threw me and by the time I had sorted out what I wanted to do I missed the choc....

It also turned out to be the biggest bean bay splurge Ive managed, but that MT 549 is just so special, I coulnt lighten my load without considerable remorse... besides its only money and Ill have forgotten spending it soon enough, and Ill be sipping on that lovely MT nectar long after that... I may even have enough to try a few blends.

I hope the choc comes back next month though.

                      Cheers,

                      Mark.

We were out to dinner last night for my mothers birthday (which is today).
As BeanBay time approached I excused myself.
                        Just got home in time.
I didnt want to miss that chocolate.

::heavy sigh:: I might have to revise my African Red April Beanbay estimation by the sound of it... grrrrrr.

Oh...this African Red is totally fat free right?
