  • CoffeeSnobs News and GREEN BeanBay - 17th June

    Below is the monthly email for those with hungry spam filters!

    Andy.

    ===================================

    This month we welcomed our 5000th CoffeeSnob member who promptly changed her name to "meginoz5000" at which point the competition closed.  After much debate and deliberation,  the moderator team compiled a winners list and the top were:

    1. NE14COFFEE - sign writing the side of a huge flexi-bus.
    2. Alskeiru - tattooing his house mate and getting her to wander Westfield.
    3. The Goodies - Stadium seating and LED signage to show the web address.

    Thanks to all the entries and special thanks to the site sponsors who donated the great prize pool.

    The other big news this month was when I managed to get my ugly-mug into The Age Epicure magazine.  It was a fun article and great to see CS in the press again and Im sure all the new members were welcomed warmly into our coffee community.
    If you missed the article you can read it on the Age website still:

                    My computer froze at 8:56pm >
                    By the time I attempted to force quit and eventually rebooted it was 9:04.
                    Amount of Yirg available at 9:04...none.

                    Looking forward to seeing it in the bay in the near future.

                        I was lucky this was my first green bay and I got one bean I wanted and my third choice - you only had to blink and they were gone - images of piranhas came to mind.

                              Thanks, Andy. Managed to get all on my list, but like others, am amazed how quickly it all went. Looking forward to trying some new beans.

                              Was sorely tempted to get more MTE but worked out Ive probably got almost a years supply of coffee already, so hopefully youll be able to get more next season and Ill make do till then (and probably indulge in a few more purchases in the interim)
