Hi Lucinda,
We get a lot of people that think that they didnt get sent an email.
I can assure everyone that we send an email to every single CS member. all 5770+ of em! The last one was sent about 1:45am 19th August. It is also posted shortly after onto the forum under the BeanBay Banter category:
http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?board=NewPolls
The email is sent to the email address that you have under the [Profile] button at the top of this page. Check that email address first.
We get a lot of bounceback emails each month (way too many to read!), some email addresses are no longer in use, some are "mailbox full, over quota" and a lot are "Im on holidays" out of office replies.
Some people have hungry spam filters too, check those and allow email from webmaster@coff(you know the rest).com.au as that is the address that notifications are sent as. If the spam filter is at your ISP then you will have to allow it there too.
Some CSrs use an anti-spam service that replies with "your message has been blocked until the sender types this code, clicks here, does a little jig, replies to the email again, stands on your head etc etc". Life is too short to act on 200 of those each month so I dont, they get deleted unread!
You can test the webmaster@ email address by sending yourself a "forgotten password reminder" at the forum logon or by turning-on email notification of PMs under your [Profile] and sending a PM. If that gets through then you "should" get the monthly email.
Ive used Commbank before and never felt it took too long.
Unless things have changed since I worked there, the payment probably didnt get sent to Andys financial institution until the next nights clearance for a start.
Still, it does seem a tad too long.
My suggestion would have been to contact Andy direct rather than post here.

... still havent got my beans yet. CS beanbay says that payment is still pending!
But ive paid last week Wednesday night a few minutes after placing the order.
Did anyone else pay using Commonwealth Banks Netbank?
Yes. I did.
I picked mine up at Veneziano on Saturday, so Im pretty sure that meant Andy had received my payment.
As for the status, I believe that these are manually updated by Andy, so if it is still pending, it might also mean that he has not got to your order yet.

Hi Ezralimm,
I paid Thursday for mine by Commbank beans and bits turned up early this week. All my shop accounts get paid by Commbank these days and I have had the odd payment take 2-3 days to arrive at some institutions, but the vast majority are next trading day for payments arriving.
Going cold turkey for awhile. havent had a cup in a three days!!! Figured i could wait to roast myself and was hoping for it to arrive on monday... or tuesday latest.
Yes, email makes more sense than a "tanty" in public!
(but the decaf suggestion might work too)
It appears that more than one Commonwealth payment went in late and was "backdated" so we didnt see it.
The banks do that from time to time, we can copy the statement from yesterday and then tomorrow an additional payment can appear with yesterdays date. It doesnt appear at the end of the statement (like it should) it slots into date order.
I guess it must be a lag on their payment processor that keeps them in a queue or similar. Sheeze, BANKS!
Now that I know its paid for, it was easy to find the invoice number and mark it as paid, it will ship when the sun comes up.
Im sure there are heaps Greenman... a lot of beans went across to the west.
(maybe they are busy at work today because of the long-lunch or early knock-off they are planning tomorrow.

A.
Sorry im not too familiar with Australian slang yet.. whats a tanty?
Anyway, this is not the first time ive had problems with NetBank. Ive had sunday night Bpay payments made via netbank delayed almost a fortnight before - for no apparent reason. Was just wondering if anyone had similar problems as im considering calling up the bank again.
As I receive all Direct deposit payments for Pullman sales into Gregs account..... it can take from the same day (rarely)..... often next day...... sometimes 4-5 days for a payment to appear!
There is no rhyme or reason for this as far as I can see...... must be a system issue with processing some payments!
My advice to anyone who wants to guarantee fast payment - use Paypal (or Paymate in our case).... both are almost instant! Sure they cost a few percent more - but at least they are fast and reliable unlike Direct Deposit transactions.
