I found it in a really old thread while trawling around for bean type info for my newbie brain.

It would be great to get 2 or 3 of the more experienced home roasters to add some of the more recent bean bay info and types to the list even if it was just adding Andys notes each month would be fine for basic info.

I eventually gave in - this 2pm beanbay gives too much time to contemplate!!!

ordered and paid for Limmu, Panama and Nicaragua - I could easily justify spending 70 dollars because I can get to the pickup this month which save 10 dollars. Clear business case.

There is this one but I dont think it has been updated for a while http://wiki.coffeesnobs.com.au/defau...nBayBeans.html

And sorry I dont have the time or the knowledge to keep it upgraded.

    Coffeesnobs has a wiki!

Nice. Should have a link somewhere to it from the main site IMO.

Looking forward to maybe catching up with some Brisbane folk at Veneziano at West End.
I heard from Peter that they plan on being open 7 days a week down the track... so that will be handy for scheduling get togethers too.

Its a feature that has always been in BeanBay. It stops someone from sitting on a pile of beans without buying them. I guess you didnt see it before because you were in and out without too much lag.

At the top of "My Basket" it says in a yellow box:

NOTE: If you leave items in your basket and do not visit a BeanBay page (forum pages do not count!) for 30 minutes, your basket will be automatically emptied!

Im glad you had a choice of beans and didnt missout though!
(and I guess your daughter is glad too)

I had to take my daughter to work (after school care) and my order in my basket vanished
As luck would have it I found after checking the green bean page that a lot of green availability bars on most of my lost beans (must have gone back in stock along with some changed orders from other CS members)
So I placed my order again slightly changed but still happy

After a chat with Andy he indicated that the "My Basket" is only active for aprox 20 min ? or so (if I caught it right)
    Thanks for clarifying it Andy

Anyway this post is a heads up "not to leave my basket to long before processing the sale"

    KK

Was there a "please take a ticket button" somewhere on the page that I missed? So orderly! I actually picked up some of the Ipanema about an hour after the start, probably just as it fell out of someones basket.

Looking forward to maybe catching up with some Brisbane folk at Veneziano at West End.

    Cheers

this really sucks. Lots of beans and I have been BANNED from buying more. Trying to justify the stash is hard enough when it is sitting over 20kg and what makes it worse is I would love at least 4 of the beans on beanbay

I will have to just sit and watch others go wild
Just got back from a meeting and see theres heaps of beans left.

Ben I have 120kg, try use that for justification.
i tried that "other people have like 120kgs" and I got the response "you are not other people" and then "wheres my bling"

As has bean (had to) said by everyone else, was that not the most civilised beanbay ever. I even had time to go back and change all of my amounts from 5 to 7.5kgs. Thinking now thats not nearly enough. What if one of them is the best thing ive tasted? Oh no..........
Anyway, got some of the India which i missed out on last time, so alls good. Thanks Andy.
