Re: BeanBay pickup thread - September 2008

hi all i picked up my very first batch of ( many more orders) of bean bay cs ers coffee.
i ordered the newbie starters pk and 1/2 kilo of PNG wahgi AA.
    well im in heaven!!
even if i dont got a grinder .........just sniffing the bags is really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So , i have a crapola $ 50.00 one speed ,one grinder setting  85 gm hopper jobbie.
and i have to say i did open one of the 250 gm bags the (  sulaweis torajah)   to try with my new baby g from flynnaus (she arrived friday ) didnt do anything over weekend ( coffee wise ) except work that is.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
v good v good , even with my hayfever head ,blocked nose ,not much  taste buds ,
seems very mild to me at moment.( i didn.t even read the descriptions of the variety of coffee) so maybe it is that way but with hayfever it  seems to mask so much enjoyment  from  food and coffee all tastes bland at moment.
but may i say what i could taste was  yum yum .

thanks for a great way to start my coffee snobs secret life.( not so secret to my friends they think im anal about coffee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
what do they know, they drink instant.

look forward to buying a grinder when my finances allow.
soon soon soon ,please sir can i have some more!!!
( money that is  )  to buy grinder.
    till next time happy sippin

Not much beats fresh coffee. Enjoy!

I like the bath idea in your footer Vasanna but suspect that if I started bathing in the stuff my family would really think "I had lost it".

Glad to hear your new Baby delivered for you V.

What are you using for a tamper at the moment? The default plastic one isnt the best so you might wanna add a new tamper to your wish list as well.

                Andy,

Will you be parking the Bean-Mobile on Latrobe street tomorrow morning & unloading on the spot, or do we need to go into the Coffee Academy to find you?

                Evan.

I hope to be out the front of Angliss at about 8:30am to "deal beans from the foot path".

It would be great if anyone picking-up is there just before 9

(the course is starting earlier than originally planned, sigh, so Ill be keen to get inside soon after 9.)

Ill also be there on Sunday morning if that suits better.

Its not cold enough for the full length black cashmere coat that was worn for a couple of "bean deals" through the winter months in industrial Abbotsford back-streets. Thats the very suss look that attracts parked pizza vans with dark windows.
                        8-)

See you in the AM Evan.
