...and we have changed to 500g packing which should make it go further.

Muscat? You have been dunking your fruitcake in the cuppa again!

Have you got spy cameras in the bean bay bags again?? :

Well, there is a decided "flowery"/"fruity" twang to most FF darjeeling... Muscat is not quite right, but it is the closest I can think of. Im enjoying a cuppa right now and yes, Muscatel grapes. Definitely. So there! :P

One year theyll finally reintroduce it to QLD...
I hope not!! It should be adjusted the opposite way if anything, ie. to keep dusk at the same time. Its just not natural to be broad daylight at 9pm!

No, but with daylight savings its still too hot to get to sleep that soon after dusk. Just keep it natural rather than messing with my body clock!

Double Dutch Pure Cocoa Extra Dark.  This deep red cocoa processed in Holland contains 24% cocoa oils, much higher it would be a liquid!  The extra dark refers to the oil content, not the colour which is a rich red when dry.  A great cocoa that produces amazing hot chocolate.
              Andy,

If this the same as the Cote dIvoire Red African Cocoa thats been in the beanbay in the past, or something different? If different, in what way is it different?

              thanks,
              Bill

I would commit to 10 kg of Sidamo, but like a kid in lolly shop now I want everything!!!

...and my pile is growing bigger (>60 kg within 6 months buying spree), this is not good...

115 kg will have enough caff to destroy my kidney nine times over.

Not the same, we have some more of the African Red Cocoa in BeanBay too.

This one is different, dutch processed in the Netherlands, heavier (ie: less airborne when we pack it), 24% cocoa oils (tis 10% more than the African Red which is 22%), even brighter red in colour, richer mouthfeel and $5 per 500g more expensive!

If Yemen and Brazil coffees "are just coffee" then both of these cocoas are the same.

Ok, Im just trying to work out what difference there is between the two. So which is the stronger in flavour? Which is the darker in colour? Is the African Red dutch processed as well or natural processed?

                        thanks,
                        Bill

Could I ask what the shelf life is of the cocoa? I am quite interested in this one, however it is starting to get a smidge warm for hot chocolate (not for coffee though!!)

                          Thanks in advance

What happened to the Ceylon Dimbula BOP? It appeared on the email I got, but its not in this posting.

Youre just playing with our minds now, arent you Andy?

Cocoa has a 2 year odd shelf life... with 3 kids and visitors it certainly wont see that in my house.

The Ceylon Dimbula BOP sample arrived but not the order... someone was playing with my mind too so I have scratched it this month. If it is still on the way then it should appear on the next BeanBay. I dont know more than that at the moment.
