I noticed too the green bean pricing hasnt increase, in fact is slightly cheaper. This is surprising given how $A has dropped?

Yeah, the coffee prices have dropped 30% in the same amout of time that the AU dollar has so we breakeven.

      Coffee
      http://tfc-charts.w2d.com/chart/CF/W

      US$-AU$
      http://au.finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?amt=1&to=USD&from=AUD

When coffee went high we got a price rise even though the dollar followed and like all these price rises they dont ever come off.

Freight here is getting expensive though. Our Melbourne courier just added 30% to the delivery prices and the post office has has 2 price rises in the last 12 months. With any luck the better petrol prices keep pricing where it is for a while.

...but yes, we are doing ok on bean pricing for the moment.

        Hey Andy,

Just wondering since I am working on Saturday, 18th November so unable to pick up the beans myself, can you leave them at Veneziano so I can pick the beans up during a weekday?

just like to say what a fantastic incredible generous community of people you guys are magically bringing joy and excitement into my otherwise workaholic life through your coffee - the best part of every morning is sitting down to a latte before work and knowing that you are drinking about as good a drink as the world can offer thanks to the tireless efforts of you guys.
any ideas about politics - i think we could inspire a coffee lead recovery to the world financial crisis , we all just need to throw out the nescafe and the multinationals and supermarket chains will crumble in favour of smaller local producers and markets
lets hope Mr Rudd doesnt declare a war on coffee , or perhaps that may be a good idea we might get some sort or public support for our caffeine addictions and get free green beans at pharmacies if we register ???

oh well off to work to pay the mortgage enough of the fantasy

bean bay anticipation is mucking with my mind - i apologise for any manic behaviour ;D > :-/

The Darj is a first flush... and we bought double the amount we would normally buy so no need to stampede, in fact we hope to have enough to leave some in BeanBay after the sale too.

Say, how does this Ugandan offering compare to the Ugandan Bugisu?

I think old hurricane Ike has caused some major issues for the crops over there. Will be interesting to see when the crops may recover?

Have still had a few samples of Honduras doing the rounds, some is about to arrive (pre big blow or was already packed I guess).

we might see it early new year.
