    We send bulk emails out daily and they are all marked as possible spam by filters. It is only going to get worse in the future Cry

    I really need to type faster too!

    Yeah, I agree its only going to get worse. Its still a pain when we are running a valid SPF and a valid server... that should give us kudos points on their server.

      Spam filters generally work in a (4 week) cycle and get stricter as the cycle progresses and then reset. They learn, and every cycle should get better at identifying spam. 8-) However, if you send bulk email to a domain they cut you no slack nowadays.

      No point losing any sleep, time for a coffee 8-)

            Ahhh yes, the shirts. I bought a couple myself and might pinch a couple more. They really are top quality, hand made polos, good enough that Ill throw in a 12 month 100,000km parts and labour warrantee with them.

            The shirts should have happened at Christmas but the lady that makes these was snowed-under with school and sporting club orders.

            mmm...measuring.. measuring.
            The sizes are fairly big, she tells me that these are "the old surf sizes" from the 80s. She did make a lot of specialty stuff for the Torquay surf compaines before they sent all their work to China. >

            If I had to guess I would say that the XL is a XXL or bigger, which is why we meassured across the armpits for reference.

            Most everything in life comes in two sizes, TFS and TFB (too small / too big). We are offering 3 sizes in the hope that helps but if anyone needs something smaller or something larger we will sort that on a future run of shirts.

            I want to get some kiddy sizes for my lot in the future too... they were most upset when they saw these ones.

              Any pics of the shirts Andy? Or should we wait until tonight?

              Even though I dont say much here, I do keep a close eye on the site and would love to have a shirt to go with it

                  Brett dont worry...I have one of the shirts (I think its the same one that Andy is selling!) and if anything it is somewhat too big on me.

                    Im troubleshooting the monthly emails...
                    I got the email but I noticed my spam filter increased your spam score a touch due to the date being in the future. Looks like the timezone is set wrong on whatever you use to send email. Probably wont help too much but you might want to look into that for next time:

                      Hostname: coffeesnobs.com.au
                      IP: 210.9.54.141
                      Mailserver(s): mail.coffeesnobs.com.au
                      SPF Record:
                      v=spf1 a mx ptr ~all
                      Not sure if spam filters take this into account, but you might want to consider making the spf1 record more specific. I think ~all is softfail which I think means accept from anywhere else but dont consider it as definitely good email - it is maybe good email. If you only originate coffeesnobs.com.au email via your MX, you could narrow it down with something like this:

                      v=spf1 a mx ptr ip4:210.9.54.141/32 -all

                      or

                      v=spf1 a mx ip4:210.9.54.141/32 -all

                      I just added the IP address in specifically because the reverse dns lookup for that IP comes up as freeman.jc.com.au rather than coffeesnobs.com.au or mail.coffeesnobs.com.au so it is just to make sure it is still considered valid. The -all means dont accept coffeesnobs.com.au email from anywhere else.

                        Nice one Fabcat. Not sure about the date, the time and timezone is correct everywhere else, Ill still have a look and Ill make the SPF more specific soon. Ta.

                        There are 50 pictures of the shirts (all different colours and sizes) so yes you have to wait till they appear in BB tonight... but here is a picture of the one Im wearing now.

                          Damn - the bank balance will take a bit of a pounding tonight:

                          Beans, books, chai, CS clobber.

                          Well I can rest assured that Im helping the Aussie economy with a bit of expenditure

                            Andy,

                            Perhaps sending people a message through CS instead of an email would help, or give an option in the usercp to say "Id like to be notified of Beanbay events via" a) E-mail b) private message. c) an alternative e-mail address

                            That way if people are finding they are missing the e-mails, they have some options.

                            Of course, all this is easily implemented with the click of a finger so youve nothing to worry about, right?

                            Thanks for looking in to the issue.

                              If you use gmail or yahoo it might be worth changing your email address in [UserCP] at the top of the forum to another email account.
                              just checking,
                              does it mean that we pretty much give up on gmail altogether, or you intend to sort things out later down the track?

                                Just quietly (because it has probably been covered many times before but I cant work it out...)

                                How do you get on the email list? Ive had a really good look through my profile and cant locate anything...

                                (*slinks away quietly because she knows shes probably asked something that to everyone else is as plain as the nose on their face!*)
