Given this beanbay pickup will be done in the publics eye rather than the backstreets of Abbotsford, maybe you should bring some extra bags to try and flog off to the public on the day?
Errr, yeah that was the reason that we had so many beans this month.

We did that at Celebrate the Bean last year (which is what Wicked Sunday was called) and it was very popular as you have suggested.

    So yep, good idea ACog!

Anyone else have Paypal go belly up on them tonight, first time ever but then i also noticed that since i used Paypal 3 days ago they have done a visual change to their site. Not sure if this was the cause though?

Not doing a pickup as i will have my kids with me but have the intention of rocking up to the Wicked Sunday anyway. I can show the kids that there are others out there just like me.

Yes, 50+ people paid with PayPal, their payments have just been marked-off and their order status in BeanBay "previous orders" should show as paid now.

So it might just be that new virus that your kids installed on your computer last night Mal?

Funny you should mention that Andy.... This Mals kid downloaded and installed some malicious software that included a rather nasty beastie that none of my security software could handle. Had to reinstall an image made last week. The kicker is, my son is 26 y.o. .... :

No Viruses here Andy, just plenty of spam and the occaisional spyware issue on the sons computer, i dont let anyone else near my laptop, that way if it goes belly up its either a hardware fault or something i have done and then i have to put myself in the corner ;D

Will resubmitt a payment via paypal now.

Andy must have the RAF doing his deliveries. ;D
I payed via paypal this morning and the beans were delivered to my work here at Melbourne CBD before 3:00pm
                        Fantastic Service  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

                        Thanks Andy

I second this suggestion. Also, is it possible to archive the entries in BeanBay after they sell out? I go back through my beans and find an interesting one, then try to find out a) what is recommended roasts (ramp, length, colour), and b) what are they supposed to taste like.

Airshow is in town.... Im getting a great pre-show at the Snobbery too as its right under the "roundabout" where they do circles in a holding pattern waiting for the call to do a fly past.  A better view than at the actual show!

Truth be known, I was doing PayPal at 2am and packing before 9am to catch the morning courier.  All hte PayPal beans have shipped today

I have my own suggestion.  Andy is pretty busy with other things and has no interest in people creating new projects for him... thanks anyway.

                            a) what is recommended roasts (ramp, length, colour),

Roast them how YOU like them.

                            b) what are they supposed to taste like.

                            Coffee.

Seriously, the fun of home roasting is the learning, play, test, try, play again.  That is the real joy of home roasting. You dont need me to hold your hand and I can never tell you what you like.

My profiles are no use to anyone but me, my roaster is different to yours, the ambient temp, bean mass, humidity are all different.

If you want to know how I think the coffee tastes best then buy it already roasted.  I roast everything at the Snobbery to where I think it works best, some others might disagree and some other might choose to home roast to do it differently.

All previous BeanBay threads are archived in the area called "Knock Box", all the desctriptions and the BeanBay banter is there.

                              I agree with Andy...

Theres a wealth of information to be found by doing a bit of research in order to get you started, then you just go for it. Thats what most of us did when we were starting out and there was less info around then than there is now.... Research, its all part of the fun

                              Mal.

"b) what are they supposed to taste like.

                                Coffee."

No need to be titchy, but some need slow ramp, some lots of heat, some stop CS8, etc. and some of mine certainly have NOT resembled coffee ...
