Re: BeanBay monthly sale - Tuesday 10th March 2009

I can never work out if I wait for the post saying that they are there or just assume that they will be...because for Ven there hasnt been a post this time or last from memory. I guess the moto is "no news is good news" and they have arrived on the est delivery date from the bean bay purchase page. I will get mine tomorrow too.

    Cheers

      Hey Lincoln (goat)

Your beans are sitting here looking lonely next to my roaster!
Are you coming to get them?

So they are there? I havent bought any beans for a while and have obviously forgotten how the system works - I was waiting for a posting that theyd arrived.
        We sent them!
The pickup points do this as a service to CSrs so we dont put any rules on what they should do in regards to the pickup... we let them do what suits their business and life best. Maybe they were just too busy to post that the beans arrived?

Thanks for letting us visiting NSW aviators from Avalon Airshow into the sacred art of home roasting.
A few pics of the stall FYI.

                  Hi Andy,
I got my first brown bean delivery the other day. All i can say is WOW!
I had tried a couple of the coffee houses in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, none have come close to your beans. They are superb.
Thank you so much for the fast delivery and an A1 product.

Words cannot say just how happy i am. My coffee adventure just keeps on getting better.

Again Thank you, thank you and thank you.

                  Cheers,

Got to say how much i am enjoying my new green beans . the real suprise has been the Tanzanian .
On a slightly under roasted first batch ( CS8+ / 9) start sc 16.5min roast , left to sit for 3days this bean tasts Quite diffent sweet with almost a tingly aftertast , and not to acidy. great bean!!!. cant wait to do a slightly longer roast .
                      Thanks Andy

                        Hi Andy

I just thought I would send you a message here as it is kind of a direct question. Basically I was wondering if for the next beanbay or maybe a future permanent option that the CoffeeSnobs Gift Bag you have on offer in the Buy Brown section could be made available in the Buy Green section, replacing the roasted bean with a green bean. Anyway just something for your consideration. The reason I put this to you is that I want to buy one of the CoffeeSnobs Gift Bag but I like to roast my own beans and have no use for roasted.

Tell me if Im wrong, but the purpose of a gift bag is to give to someone. Hence, it would be very unlikely that you would be giving a gift of green beans, as a large majority of espresso drinkers derive their coffee from purchased brown beans.
Personally, I think it is unnecessary as you have the sample pack in BeanBay for your greens. But others may beg to differ....

Interesting idea, there are a few gotchas but Ill have a think about what might work and we might do that.

but call me crazy, there may just be someone out there that may know someone that roasts beans and the lady might drink tea so I guess it would make a nice gift
