        Hi Ben
        What about the red cordial??
Sounds to me like that should be in the mix.
Many more roasts to come by the sound of it.
Roasting your own coffee, Ahhhh, hard to explain to those that just dont get it..

          Mal,

For a second there I thought you meant I was making a huge mistake roasting without red cordial! Definitely time for some sleep and a nice macchiato in the morning!

Roasting - once you pop you cant stop!

          Ben

OT what board did you use for your Ramp controller on the popper?
Its a bit of a story and I am writing it up, since this forum does not allow placeholders I need to get it pretty much finished to avoid too much fragmentation.

Thanks all for your hints and pointers - know there is no such thing as URL (universal roasting language) yet. Must be some useful way to hand around experience. Coffee is a very complex animal. BT profile is definitely most useful, humidity has been shown to be basically irrelevant, apart from the initial moisture content of greens...

My greens did not make it before Easter, so maybe next weekend.

hee hee... yeah that drive was "nuts". I was way over the coffee limit driving that hire car and still dont really know how I got to Surfers.

                      Not true.

This isnt the thread to discuss it but the humidity makes a big difference in drum roasting to both the roasting (air flow) and cooling (more air flow).

Toobar "BeanBay Alert" didnt work in firefox as far a I can tell.
(I guess it was a FF update that broke it)
a bit late to the party as I dont usually buy greens so dont come in here very often. Im using the latest version of FF on Mac and got both the toolbar message and the pop up about Bean Bay this month as well as the usual email.

all those chances and still not a home roaster! ;D

                          Hi,
I hope I am posting in the right area. We have previously bought Green Beans and loved raosting them (Previous nick was NeedCoffee..... but have forgotten password and email addy is no longer)
But I am now going to try the brown beans.
I really like a medium strong type of coffee. Di Bellas Espresso and Premium beans are my favourite. If anyone could help me, what would be the equivalent strength of coffee in your Brown bean selections.

                          Thanks
                          J

                            Hi Jax,

Youll find that Andy lists tasting notes against each brown blend and origin. You can just read over them and choose the bean that best suits what youre looking for...

                            Enjoy...
