Re: BeanBay Monthly Sale - Saturday 16th May 2009

My fourth BeanBay, and told myself that Id probably take a miss this time as Ive got 5 x 2.5kg bags of greens as well as a starter pack from the previous three Bays sitting in the cupboard. But just couldnt help meself...a bag each of Mexican and Dominican added to the stash. Looking forward to my roasted supplies running out, then a roasting we will go. Still yet to touch any of my greens, really looking forward to it given reports from the previous BeanBays.

Yes, I was telling myself the same thing as Ive already got over 20kg of greens but had to get another 1o today.

Get yourself a popper and get started on the roasting pierre . It took me a while to make the move and now wish I hadnt procrastinated.

          Thanks heaps Andy.

Was planning to let my stash decline a little, but couldnt resist some of your Decaf Wow to have a go at, and try a roast off against the mocha java. Will be fun. Cant make the pick-up this time though

Am resigned to the fact that I wont be able to let one go. In the words of the poet laureate Sir Bob Hudson, "Dont you ever let a chance go by".  Ive still got roasted beans to finish off, once they are just about done I WILL be roasting  8-) Have got beans sitting there that I have seen some great reviews on.

Yeah, procrastination is a bastard, aint it. ;D

Im amazed at the click speed of some CSrs, if it was a sport then it would be a photo finish for the gold!

Thanks Andy. My head is still spinning. Thought I had got in early this time but the Peruvian disappeared before my eyes. I admit to being slow on the keyboard. Still very happy with my order though.
                All paid for.

Damn! My flight arrived 10 mins in. In hindsight, muttering I gotta get me a few keys of Peruvian in the customs hall wasnt the wisest move. :P

Well, got 2 of my 3 desired beans so cant be all bad. But whoever got the last 2.5 of Peruvian, you got it by a bees proverbial!

Ha Ha, that was me! ;D Thought I had missed out, but 2.5kg popped up again.
Snitched it just by a whisker! ;D

Im hoping that we can get some more of the Peru too, I have only limited stocks at the Snobbery for roasted orders and Im sure there are a few others here that will take some.

Mostly CSrs had a choice of beans for 45 minutes so the volume was about correct. Currently we still have some of the Nicaraguan in stock (but not much).

Next months beans are already en-route, the ship (I have been told) should dock soon so with any luck the route through AQIS is smooth and we have the next BB sorted.

I want to try something too... after I turn-off the pickup points this month I will set them-up for the following month. That way they are always visable and should make it a little more obvious for CSrs looking them between BB times. The only gotcha will be if we have a late BB we wont make the actual scheduled pickup date... we can manage that though (I hope!)

Anyhows... twas a nice smooth BB and we will start getting the beans out to everyone ASAP.

I completely missed this one as well TG. But I still have plenty of beans left in my bean treasure chest.

I was looking for some english breakfast tea, as I ran out and had to buy some from the market yesterday. Any chance youll be getting some more soon Andy?
