Re: BeanBay Monthly Sale - Saturday 16th May 2009

What makes you say they were supposedly there last week?

Why not just call Pedro or send him an email and ask him if theyve arrived?

      Hi bjeck14
I usually just give CoffeeParts a call (02 9666 6114) and pick my order up after work, they are open 9-5.  They are lovely folk and do us a great favour by letting us get our beans delivered there (especially as they sell beans themselves)
If you pick up Monday I may see you there
      Cheers - Carrie

Hopefully see you there sometime Carrie!

        Cheers,

I know we all thank Andy and his crew for the great service provided but I believe you guys do a
great job. Once again you have provided a service to me of an exceptional level.

Andy a question for you. Im keen to try some of the cocoa in the next bean bay. I was wondering
is there any preparation in using it or is it as simple as placing a tea spoon or two into a cup of hot water and milk.

            LuvaCap,
The Drinking Chocolate listed in BeanBay is a mixture of cocoa and sugar, whereas the Red African is 100% cocoa. This means that you will normally require sugar, but it is completely dependent upon taste. Some like 1:1 some like 2:1
            see http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1217763868

I personally like the Red African, but give them both a go ;D

                Hi there LuvaCap
We disagree , we have tried both the Double Dutch Pure Cocoa Extra dark and theCote dloire Red African Cocoa.  Both are 100% cocoa no added sugar. Directions are on the packs and you can experiment by adding other ingredients. Our teenagers prefer the Double Dutch its worth the extra $.  .

Buy both and see for yourself!   8-)

Both Cocoas are really different like comparing a Yemen to a Wahgi where the Yrmrn is the Red and the Wahgi is the Dutch. The Red African is spicey and big in flavour and more bitter but low on rich chocolates needs less than the Dutched which is smoother and more chocolate with a hint of spices. I find I use more of the Dutch to the Cup than the African.

My personal view is that one is a Hot Cocoa and one is more a Hot Choc, I like both for their atributes and the Red with a small grind of Chilli on top is exellent for a zing in the cup Add sugar to taste with both.
