    Hi Andy,

Disappointed with the short notice (did not get the email either 1st time it has not arrived) really would have liked some Monsoon Malabar. I noticed today that it was allover so I bought some Ethiopian.

Any chance the Monsoon Malabar may be in the next bean bay?

    Cheers

    Brett

Wow! I wake up this morning to my dad walking into my room saying "Theres coffee waiting for you in the kitchen...." Lo and behold! When he says "coffee" he means 15kg of green bean goodness! What a turn around time from paying late Tuesday night to arriving Thursday morning, a fantastic effort Andy & Paula (and others if otheres were involved)!

Also a big thanks to Paula for savings postage costs via courier and adding some extras to my order to make up the difference. Im not a big tea drinker, but Im sure my girlfriend will love the pearl tea when she gets back from Tassie (it may go just far enough to get me off the hook for buying 15kg of coffee ;D)

It just shows what people can do when theyre passionate about it.

Andy is there a place for people like myself that just cant say NO to BB, even though they are not likely to run out of beans in the next 2-3 years?
I guess something like AA..........."Hello my name is Chris and I am a coffee snob"

You just gotte ba strong man!
Im here to help if you need support.
"My name is Brett and Ive managed to sit out the last 2 Beanbays! Sure.. I still have 80+ kgs in the shed, but at least Ive acknowledged I have a problem."

Seriously, I have been doing stocktake and going on the rule of 3s, Im getting to the point where I might be throwing out some beans over the next few months. Not because they were not good beans, just too many other choices. Also, some little bags just get lost in the noise. EG: I found a very small amount (probably 200g) of a Brazil CoE from a few YEARS ago hidden away under some other bags.

So... rationalisation HAD to happen. Im trying to be good. I label all my beans when I get them to show the month/year that they came into my possession, and Ive done this for the last couple of years now. I also try to track my inventory on an Excel sheet, but really need the wireless network access to extend to the shed to make this a regular thing.

Anyhow, I reckon Im sitting out of BeanBay until next year at this stage.

          No.. I mean it.
          Stop laughing!

          Brett.

I think implementing a ban on accessing beanbay using username / ip address could be quite difficult.
However next time you are drunk we could show you how to edit your hosts file so that whenever you try to access beanbay it re-directs you back to this post to remind you you dont need any more?

Drunkeness required so that you dont remember how to change it back during the beanbay rush.

Hi my name is Rose, Im a CoffeeSnob and I cant say "no" either. Every month I tell myself im not going to buy more, but then I do. Now there once was a high court judge that said "no means yes"!

I guess I should get some robusta. 2.5 kg should last a while. Have to measure properly so I dont over do it in my Iroast 2.0.

Stash arrived tonight, great turnaround Andy! Got some Malabar, Aceh, Java and Yirg. All look good, Aceh certainly has a distinct blue tinge to the beans, more like a turquoise than real green. Malabar beans seem a bit smaller and rounder than the last batch I got (circa 06) and a little less yellow, a bit closer to what green beans normally look like. Yirg and Java about as expected.

Exciting times ahead when it comes to Heating these babies in the Hottop, Munching them in the Mazzer, Pressing them with the Pullman and Extracting them in the Expobar! ;D

I didnt receive any email announcing the July 14th bean bay, feeling rather sad because I would have liked to buy some Aceh beans. Not sure what went wrong?

Redzone looking at my previous orders I havent got anything since Feb this year, but I still have more than 30kgs. I feel that I have become a compulsive beanbuyer, this month with yirg popping up i had to grab some, if there was some Yemen Bani Ismali I would have lost the plot.
So I think the only way is to go with the flow.

Really appreciate time & effort you put into Beanbay.

The "Hi my name is..." replies make me laugh (real laugh out loud). Funny thing is I think I should book myself into the next session too.

                            ;D

Glad to see some of the beans getting to their destinations already, I expect that everything else that has been paid for will ship tomorrow and the pickup point beans will freight out Monday and Tuesday next week.

You mean a CSA (CoffeeSnobs Anonymous) exists?

Im happy to say Im not ready for that yet, but if compulsive buying of BB greens is a symptom, Im probably not far off
