    Re: BeanBay GREEN Sale - 13th Oct 2009

    This is my first time ordering - when I select a pickup point and it gives a date - do I have to pick it up on that day or can I arrange another date as Sat is not convenient for me?

      Check this thread mrpoppy

      The date is the expected date of arrival, not when you have to pick it up . Except for Andys drop off in Vic, you can arrange another time . As many of the pickup points are shops you can pick up during their opening hours.

        Thatll differ depending on the pick-up point you need to use mrpoppy.

        Some can cater for alternate pick-up times and some cant.
        If you post & mention your chosen location, someone will respond Im sure.

        Otherwise, it may be better to nominate a suitable ship-to address when you set-up your details on Beanbay.

        Cheers

                      Noooo. So much for abstaining.......may have to reconsider previously announced self exclusion from GreenBay.

                          Go the Mendheling, RayC, just gotten my way through 5kg worth and its a nice drop indeed. Only complaint it that its a damn quiet roaster so it needs some attention.

                            Hi thinking of ordering some green beans for the first time. Just wondering though how long storage time is on a green bean as Im not sure how quickly Ill get around to actually roasting it, think Ill need to psyche myself up and also find the time but Id like to have some in the cupboard for if the mood and time hit at once..... :-? if that makes sense. Bit unsure about it all but Id like to give it a go with our popcorn maker (which hopefully will still work to make popcorn or I might end up a little unpopular ) I thought Id get a starter pack and also the sample pack of the other beans making 3 kg in total which Im hoping can all go in the same order for a 3kg satchel, is this ok too? Thanks Kat

                              The rule of thumb is:

                              green = 3 years
                              brown = 3 weeks
                              ground = 3 mins
