Re: BeanBay GREEN Sale - 13th Oct 2009

Geez. Im still trying to be good and bring my stock level down, but its getting very difficult to pass up some of these beans.

Well see. I might be tempted tonight, although I might just go into the shed and remind myself that i dont NEED it.

    Nice problem to have though!

    Brett.

Ha Ha we here this every single beanbay pierre!  ;D
I know, I know. Twas the Costa Rican and Honduran caught my eye, dont know what particular one it was, but had some Honduran from AM a while back and was a particularly nice drop. AND the Ethiopan. AND the Brazilian. AND the Sumatran. ;D 8-)

our popcorn maker (which hopefully will still work to make popcorn
Yeah, it will still roast popcorn afterwards fine. We are all sure that after you have tried it once you will never go back to stale and expensive supermarket coffee.

I thought Id get a starter pack and also the sample pack of the other beans making 3 kg in total which Im hoping can all go in the same order for a 3kg satchel, is this ok too?
BeanBay adds the total weight of the items that you have selected and then shows you the shipping options and costs for that weight.

The starter pack is 2kg and the roasted sample pack is 1kg so yes... it will show you the 3kg Express Post option for $10 along with others... Star Track Express 3kg Satchel for $9.50 (if its going to a business address), and pickup point options for $1/kg (that example would be $3) for pickup at the end of the month.

The more weight you have the cheaper some of the options like "Star Track Road" become where as the satchels are just a multiple of the weight selected but once again, that option is only available if its getting sent to any business address that is staffed during the day.

Sounds a tad confusing but thats why BeanBay checkout does the math... to save you and I thinking about it!

Yeah, go to the shed and count your existing beans... 1 bean, 2 beans.... by the time you have finished you would have missed it.

Of course, you can still come to the pickup day for a coffee and a social visit though.

CoffeeSnobs encourages responsible bean purchase decisions.
...and warns that its near impossible to "just watch" BeanBay.
Turn off your screen now, walk away from the computer slowly...

            ;D

I agree, a couple of beanbays ago I had to go out for dinner and resolved myself to the fact that I would skip bb that month as my stash was rather healthy, however when I got home at 11pm I just happened to check CS and the beans I wanted were still available, irresistable urges hit me and I ordered 5kg of the good stuff!!! : : : :

Re: BeanBay GREEN Sale - 13th Oct 2009

This is the first BB in my coffeesnobs memory that I was actually going to sit out... I thought 30kg last month was enough of a stash for a month or two. At least, thats how I justified it.

                Not any more.

And Kat, I began with just a few kg too. That was a year ago. Happy roasting!

Herbazu sold out in about 3 minutes if not less!!!
