Just letting you know that there was no Indian Monsoon Malabar at Veneziano Brisbane yesterday.
All other beans were there I think.
Any idea when theyll be in?

I think Im going to cry...
I just roasted a batch of elephant bean, and they looked damn good! As I was emptying the roaster I tripped and fell, and all but one bean landed in dirt Oh well, another half hour and well see if I can get them looking even better...

No idea on the plantation, they shipped with some other stock from PNG and were bought from broker on the ground.  I assume they are from the Wahgi area as they shipped together but its just a (good?) guess.

Sadly, coffees are like that often.  Samples are great but the most information you can get is the country of origin.

They are big, though i had it in my head that they would be up there with maragogypes. Still big though.

Yes please. Reuse is the best recycling! Bringing them to the pickup saves freight too.

One day we will workout a good method of collecting them around the rest of the country too... at the moment freight is the killer.

got some old gems in my draw i just found, they go right back to the ole hand stich days

Fatboy very nicely donated some classic ones to me recently, they are heading for a wall in the new Snobbery as an interesting "CoffeeSnobs timeline in cotton".

I gotta say, I cannot imagine hand stiching them all now!

Nice! Im sure you will have fun with both of those which are really at each end of the coffee spectrum and perfect for showing friends that it is never "just cooffee".

Beans arrived this morning 9:30 thanks for the great service Andy,I have roasted 400gm Monsoon and 400gm Gambella a first time try of these for me. I will have to hold off on The PNG Elephant till I get through this lot

Both are "out there" and fun to play with.


PICKUP POINTS

I have just closed off the pickup points so I can pack them tonight and freight them out tomorrow.


(The Melbourne pickup will still show until next week as I drive that one up myself.)
