    Excellent!
I love the fresh coffee aroma leaking out the one-way valves into the satchels... you were lucky there was still some left as I have caught the staff at the post office walking up the back and giving them a bear-hug in the past.

    Enjoy!

Received my starter pack from beanbay today and all freshly roasted on Sunday. Excellent service to rural Vic. There was a strong aroma lingering with my courier satchel which everyone commented on, aroma (coffee snobbery in heaven)....did I mention aroma  ;D. Now which to start with, einey meny miney mo

Also got some bits and bobs from Coffee Parts on their way so made my contribution in supporting the sponsors this week, and sufficient damage to my plastic for one week.  : All set for Easter we are.

Sorry to miss the pickup guys,
Had some trouble on the freeway when I ran ove a large cushion which decided to make love to my drive shaft and wrapped itself around very very tightly, took me and the RAC guy an hour to release its kungfu grip from my drive shaft. (And know Im not talking dirty). :-?
People should keep their loads tied down when on the freeway cause when you hits things at 100kph they tend to do damage.

Rolled Steel Joist - AKA a big heafty lump of steel. Something with which it is good to avoid coming to grips...or having land on your toe (or any other part of your anatomy).

Well that litlle old RSJ didnt take long to whack into place eh?

And it was alot lighter than the stash of greens we piled into the car to take home!!

    Until next time............
    Cant wait to meet "Alex!!"

Dont tell me Simon has another tart! ;D ;D

    Yep, thats about it.

Freight is calculated on the weight and your location.  If you order a lot (10 or 20 kilos+) then some of the other options become a lower price per kilo.

I dont know where you live or what you are ordering so cannot comment on the specific freight calculations that you might be seeing.

The magic of BeanBay is that it shows you the actual cost for the amount ordered and your location... you can then select which service you prefer. BeanBay does show the approx delivery lag beside each option to give you an idea.

Rule of thumb is that delivery to a business address will always show the most options (as some need a real live human to take the parcel).  Star Couriers and Star Track Express satchels are the fastest, followed by Express Post satchels followed by Star Track Express Road, followed by E-Parcel.

does this imply that the Startack satchel rate for next day at $9.50 is a tad unreliable in delivery times
Do you really think we would want any service that was unreliable?
I can find plenty of dodgy courier compaines if you want a bad one but after years of testing (and sacking) courier companies we only have the cream of the crop now.

    8-)
Thanks for that and nope, I couldnt expect that youd being using an unreliable source but wished to just clarify that I was interpreting the shipping options correctly before I went the next step. No offense intended.

Just a small first order to sort out what beans I like best. Thanks

Im looking to purchase my first lot of brown beans from beanbay. Can someone please clarify for me why the slowest rates of shipping cost more? - does this imply that the Startack satchel rate for next day at $9.50 is a tad unreliable in delivery times or .....? Thanks very much
Its because Andys an excellent negotiator and gets great prices based on a huge quantity of freight :

Your order came in after I got back from the post office... I grumbled but drove back with 1 satchel so you didnt have to wait till Monday.
Glad you noticed the extra mile!

Question is am I better off to buy Jamaican or Kona
Kona is half the financial risk but at the end of the day it really is your choice!

Dont panic, it only weighs 190 Kg, unfortunantly it wont be delivered in time for you all to help lift 3m up into place
