The beans available at the above date/times will be:

Papua New Guinea Wahgi AA $11/kg*.
A new crop of those big, bold beans that produced such an even and good looking roast. It will work through a range of roast depths and at a CS8 you will find a mid bodied, bright shot through to a CS9 where the sweetness is dominant to a CS10 where the body becomes heavier. A fun bean to roast with great results in the cup.

Ugandan Masaba AA $9.50/kg*
Well processed and screened large it produced a surprisingly large amount of chaff for a washed bean when roasting. I roasted this to a CS9, nearly a CS10 and it was full of dark cocoa in the espresso shots. Great as a single origin or use it with a body bean to produce a good simple blend. This is the first time that we have tried the Masaba and I hope it becomes a regular to our shores in the future.

Haiti Grand Cru $21.50/kg*
Haiti is better known recently for the terrible natural disaster and not often thought of as a coffee origin, but it is! Haiti grows a very small amount of coffee and the best of the crops typically end up in the USA and Japan and it’s quite rare for any to make it to Australia. We have a VERY small amount of this available, it’s washed and well graded and as an espresso produced a big creamy bodied shot that oozed across the front palate. Just 1 bag per person please and I’m sorry in advance for those that will miss out, maybe befriend a CS’r that got some and try a cup.

Hawaii Kona Extra Fancy $55.50/kg*
This coffee hails from the most famous of the Hawaiian coffee growing islands, Kona. It was grown and processed by Captain Cook Estate (pretty ironic considering the Hawaiians were responsible for his demise). It’s a fully washed coffee, very clean almost polished appearance and is easy to roast even with the added pressure of the expense. I took it to a careful CS8 and found very smooth, clean and balanced and quite similar to the Jamaican coffee in style. Only a small amount of this is available and due to the high price it has been packed in 1kg lots.

We also have stock of:

Peru Ceja de Selva Estate
Indian Monsoon Malabar AA
Ethiopian Gambella Sundried
Brazil Pulped Natural
China Yunnan Hougu
Zambia Munali Estate
India Madikeri Robusta
...and more

* prices include $0.50/kg donation to FairCrack. All coffees are packed as 2.5kg in natural cotton bags with the exception of the Jamaican and the Hawaiian coffees which due to their high price are in 1kg lots packed in foil/clear bags.
