Do any Sydney Snobs meet together to chat about coffee while collecting at either of the pickup points?

There are 3 in Sydney (CKSYD in Kellyville, Cuppacoffee and Coffeeparts ) The first 2 are pretty socal and often have a few CSrs get together for a chat and a coffee... and Pedro at Coffeeparts is always up for a chat.

Let the locals know in this thread which pickup you are going to and when you are planning on going there and you just might make it a more social event.

We hope to get beans to the pickup points by:
27/8/2010

If the beans are not at the pickup points by the above date, or you havnt heard in this thread that they are READY FOR PICKUP (which is different to arrived) then we will try and findout why.

Till then, please assume that they will be there and ready on the dates posted in the BeanBay threads.

If you want your beans in a hurry then pay the extra for direct postage and we will get them in the post to you the day after we get your payment.

Just dropped into Veneziano in Brisbane and as of 2:30 Mon they have NOT arrived. They are also run off their feet at the moment.....

Just on the Beanbay and shipping, i always thought Andys shipping prices (and times) were remarkable, then this week i changed my address and noticed that the shipping costs will now be even cheaper than before.

I was genuinely rapt with how low the shipping costs were, but to see that at my new property theyre going to be drastically less just blew my mind.

I dont know how Andy does it, but im incredibly grateful because it makes accessing a regular supply of greens that much easier.

Thankyou to the people who called asking if beanbay orders have arrived.

A driver from Startrack did show up this afternoon with one box (not beans) and told me another driver had taken the other 4 or 5 boxes we were expecting.

Of course, that other driver was a no show.

Courier logistics confound me! :-?

Hey all.

Im new to the scene. Thank PeterF from my work - a member here but I dont know his username. Introduced me to the world of home roasting and not fully automatic machines a couple of months ago and I must admit it kind of hit a nerve...

Sunday night was my first BeanBay purchase (previously my only green bean experience was the Starter Pack) and I bought:

Limmu 2.5kg
Huehuetenango 2.5kg
Yirgacheffe 5kg
Bruised balls 2.5kg
and a pack of Chai for my GF to keep her happy.

Delivered to Melb a bit after lunch on Monday - just awesome. The work put into the logistics side by Andy is much appreciated - I know just how much effort goes into getting logistics just right and thats clearly being done here for the benefit of all CSers. Go Andy!

Now for the extra cool bit: at the moment I have a Sunbeam Cornelius (have done maybe 4 batches of roasting in my life) and am using Mum and Dads automatic machine (Saeco Professional) to do the coffee.

So my first ever coffee setup, due in the next week or three? Well, I must admit Im a bit lucky on that front. Not exactly a normal first setup. After tons and tons of research (inclduing CS feedback)  Im currently planning on:

Rocket Giotto Evoluzione
Mini Mazzer (still evaluating this, which model, and vs Macap MD4)
and maybe a FZ-RR 700 roaster.

Cant wait!

We still have some interstate pickups that are yet to be paid...
please hurry up or you will have to pay normal freight options and cop the wrath of the other CSrs who will get their beans late.

Chasing money is such a waste of everones time, please pay when you order and the whole process runs smoother.
