Huehuetenango, how do ya pronounce the word? Undecided
The first half would likely be way way, the second half probably as written.

    Oooh, new green sale time.

All four offerings appeal so ill have to do some research over the weekend and decide which ones suit my tastes and my noob-roasting status.

    BeanBay GREEN sale - 15th August 2010

    Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Sale

    Sunday 15th August

8pm QLD, ACT, NSW, VIC, TAS
    7.30pm SA, NT
    6pm WA
    http://beanbay.coffeesnobs.com.au

The beans available at the above date/times will be:

    Ethiopian Guna Limmu $10.00/kg*
Mid bodied coffee with a green apple crispness when roasted to a CS8 and red apple sweetness at CS10. Full washed, clean, and well greaded this is the best Limmu we have sampled in years.

    Guatemala Huehuetenango $11.50/kg*
This was grown by the winner of the previous three Guatemala Cup of Excellence competitions. http://www.fincaelinjerto.com A huge body, velvety viscosity and a nectarine aroma makes this a stunning coffee.

    Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Special Prep $12.50/kg*
Certified organic at origin, this Yirgacheffe has been screened and hand graded to a very high quality green bean. Use caution roasting as it really accelerates after CS8 and can quickly get away from you. Bright with a sweet floral aroma and light body at a CS8-9, at darker roast depths it lost some of the bouquet but gained in body.

India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold $10.00/kg*
Sure, its a name that would make schoolboys giggle but its actually a really great coffee. Mild with a huge body and lots of sweetness makes this a great single origin and also perfect as an espresso base for some wilder flavours. For me this works best at the start of second crack at a CS9 roast depth.

    * Prices include a $0.50/kg FairCrack donation. All beans are packed in 2.5kg cotton bags which are perfect for storing your beans in.

    Pickup Points

QLD - Veneziano - West End
    NSW - "cksyd" - Kellyville
    NSW - Cuppacoffee - Sylvania
NSW - Coffee Parts – Pagewood
VIC - Keffa Han - Port Melbourne --- (Federal Election Day 21/8 10am)
    TAS - "ParaM" – Hobart
SA - The Coffee Barun - Sefton Park
    WA - "Caffeinefreak" – Wembley

Please Note: Because so many CSrs are selecing direct freight options we have dropped some of the smaller pickup point locations.

We hope to get beans to the pickup points by:
    27/8/2010 (maybe earlier)

This delivery date is a best guess as we are often at the whim of couriers around the country. Generally when the beans arrive at the pickup point someone will post in this thread to let you know the time/date that you should meet for the pickup.

Feel free to discuss pickup point pickups and plan the social get togethers (eg: who is bringing cake) in this thread.

Working...
