Id love to finally come to the pickup point meet at First Pour but
You can always come for a coffee and a chat anyway.  We always have a few CSrs that freight their beans and then come to the pickup for the social stuff.

    Excellent!!!

Ive really been craving some new beans to work with over the last few weeks so im glad to see the sale come around again, and even more glad to yet again see beans from regions that ive not had the chance to roast before.

Ive had some brown Malabar before and found it quite tricky, both in the grinder and the machine, but im keen to finally roast it myself and see what i can do with it.

I notice the Brazil Pulped is back, too.
Really need to get some for some of my planned blending experiments.

My list of wants/likely purchases is extra long this month.

Id love to finally come to the pickup point meet at First Pour but ill be hard pressed waiting the day or two for courier delivery, let alone waiting until the 27th.  :-[

Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Sale - 14th Nov 2010

    coffeesnobs.com.au
    Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Sale

    Sunday 14th November
    8pm AEDT (Daylight Savings)

    7pm QLD
    8pm ACT, NSW, VIC, TAS
    7.30pm SA
    6.30pm NT
    5pm WA

The beans available at the above date/times will be:

    Bolivia Green Mountain Estate $10/kg
Green Mountain Estate is located in the Caranavi high country of Bolivia and everything they produce is shade grown and certified organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA). This coffee produces a really big bodied espresso, smooth and heavy with low acidity and an initial sweetness at a CS9 roast depth. At a lighter CS8 roast it had a sharper, dryer finish and the sweetness not as pronounced but both worked well as a dopio and in milk.

Haiti Grand Cru de Beaumont $21/kg
We landed a tiny amount of this a while ago and it sold in 12 seconds. The rest of our shipment has just arrived so those that missed-out have a chance to try the very best that Haiti produce.

    Indian Monsoon Malabar AA $9.50/kg
These beans have been left to dry in large warehouses that are exposed to the moist winds during the Indian monsoon season. This unique process leaves a bean with nearly no acidity, a pale colour and about 20% less density. In the espresso its all body with heavy jelly like crema which can be drunk as a single origin but also works well a component of a complex blend. NOTE: Due to the lower bean density these are packed in 2kg lots.

Cup Of Excellence Nicaragua 2010 - La Bendicion
    Nepal Plantec Estate
    Cuba Turquino
    Peru Ceja de Selva Estate
    Ethiopian Gambella Sundried
    Ethiopian Harrar Longberry
    Ethiopian Guna Limmu
    Brazil Pulped Natural
    El Salvador Chaparrastique
    India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold
    Mexico Yeni Navan Typica
    ...and more!

    * Prices will include a $0.50/kg FairCrack donation. All beans are packed in 2.5kg cotton bags which are perfect for storing your beans in.

    Pickup Points

QLD - Veneziano - West End
NSW - Coffee Parts – Pagewood
    NSW - Cuppacoffee - Sylvania
    NSW - "cksyd" - Kellyville
    TAS - "ParaM" – Hobart

    WA - "Caffeinefreak" – Wembley
    VIC - Veneziano - Abbotsford --- (27/11/2010 10.30-11.30)

We hope to get beans to the pickup points by: 26/11/2010

This delivery date is a best guess as we are often at the whim of couriers around the country. Generally when the beans arrive at the pickup point someone will post in this thread to let you know the time/date that you should meet for the pickup.

Feel free to discuss pickup point pickups and plan the social get togethers (eg: who is bringing cake) in this thread.
