Some background info on this coffee

Al-Hajj is Arabic for The Pilgrimage but is also part of the name of the owner of (one of?) Yemens biggest coffee traders and Boan is their HQ in Bani Matar district of the capital Sanaa.

I have to say that all the Yenen was bagged into CoffeeSnobs cotton earlier in the week and just walking past the green bean area I can smell the above... unique, stunning and exciting even as a greeen bean!

Sadly we can never land much Yemen and this season stocks are even smaller over there so CSrs will missout. The good news is we do have 4 other Yemens enroute which should be offered over the next couple of months so everyone should get a shot one of them.

in the same way that the definition of late was changed to allow trains to run on time, perhaps a coffeesnob definition of willpower should be made!

as late as Friday lunchtime i thought proudly to myself that i will resist the next beanbay, by Friday night this was in ruins. and it still is

denki I think the same thing, nope spent enough on beans, have got a good stash for only one odd person drinking it BUT then I see something that is my favourite espresso bean and go "mmm I might not be able to get more until next year maybe I should" or "oooo I might really like that bean and if I dont buy any there might not be more later on" ;D

I was thinking I wouldnt get any this time...but now Im roasting for a guy at work, and Im low on Peruvian...and my Ethiopian supplies are running dangerously low.

Rather irrelevant that I still have at least 15kg left in other top quality beans (Costa Rica, PNG, Indo, Malawi etc)

ok all.
Its 5 minutes to BB kick off and I just know its going to give grief this month.

We have tons of web crawler and search engine bots on the site that wont go away... they create a bigger load than the site can handle and you will get lag, some errors and similar.

BeanBay itself should run pretty well, the forum wont.

Sorry in advance for something I cannot control.

The first few clicks in BeanBay were taking a while but within a minute or so it became lightning fast (faster than its ever been before) so i was able to get everything i wanted and get it done pretty quickly.

I couldnt find enough information on the two beans from Java so did what any good CoffeeSnob does, i got both. ;D
I got a bag of all of the other new beans, too :-[

I was going to grab another bag of the Kagongo but there wasnt much there and i know there are a few who totally adore it so i thought id leave it for them.
I hope they were the ones that got it.
