I always receive direct shipping orders from Andy within 2 days and I am in Brisbane.  he is very fast with his orders so couldnt image this week will be any different.

Yemen Mocha Ismaili
This is the first of 3 Yemeni coffees direct from Al-Ezzi. The Yemen Ismaili is the most prized Yemen coffee, small, ugly beans that have been picked in the valleys of the mountain ranges and dried on the roof tops of the village. A dry processed bean that produces a huge bodied cocoa dominant shot. If I was stranded on an island, this is the coffee I would take! $34/kg*

Bring on that Island..... nuff said... 8-)

Im at the in-laws for dinner and as a result missed the start of BeanBay but thankfully i managed to get most of what i wanted.

I had to sacrifice one of the new Yemenis to make room in the budget for my favourite, the Al-Hajj Boaan, and i would have killed to have been able to get a few more bags of the Al-Hajj Boaan but alas, i cant even really afford what i just bought so short of a windfall ill have to make do with one bag of it.

I wasnt sure which of the new Yemenis to sacrifice but in the end i just went on gut feel.
I await a cupping thread next week on the one i sacrificed, telling me how its the best bean in the history of the world.

I hope everyone else got what they wanted.

The ismaili didnt last long at all.  It must be good. Glad I picked up a bag along with the Haimi, MTE and Green Mountain.

This is my first venture into green beans.  Now I have to work out a way to roast.   :-[

This has to be the toughest Beanbay ever. I was forced to remove 5 kg of coffee from my cart I thought I would never have turned down. 

Surprised that the Yemen Mocha/Bani Ismail went out the door so quickly given that there was some left after the last BB. I cant complain. Must go before I find myself returning there with diminished will power.

I havent bought up in a while and have been running down the stash a bit but there was no way I could resist tonights offerings. 
Pity I missed out on the Yemen Mocha Ismaili  - but the Al-hajj and the Sanaani will do me very nicely. AND I finally get to try some Mountain Top.

Still looks like plenty left of most beans too.

Well that was a quick beanbay and a nerve wracking one for me...the OH was hovering and looking over my shoulder as I was trying to decide which Yemeni to buy.  I quickly clicked away and paid when they went out of the room for a minute.  Now comes hiding the stash... 8-)

4 regional Yemens and an exclusive MTC... I think so!

It was also the busiest...

The most members ever online was 238 on Today at 8:55pm

While the Ismaili sold out in 10 minutes we landed so much of the other beans they should hang around for at least a month giving everyone a shot at them (or a revisit)

Im at the Snobbery still so some of the orders will be packed tonight until it gets too cold in here and Ill continue packing tomorrow.

Oh noes!!! I missed out on the Ismaili, so I went for the other one instead.

Also going to give the Erskinville pick up a go to - good chance to have a chat to some coffeesnobers.

I did a relatively big order last time... and ive ordered 3 more bags!! I need to becareful not to buy anymore Reading the beans description makes it so tempting

Previous record was 200, tonight we hit 220 at 8:15 and 238 at 8:55

Even now nearly 2 hours later there are 186 members and 245 guests having a look (and 70 search engines)

No wonder the server cops a thump on BB night!
