what bean temperature should you be looking for with this bean?

Whatever your "normal" temperature is.

Its hard to compare temperatures between different roasters or flavour preferences.  My point about the probe was that if you go by colour alone this bean will darken early and you will endup with an underdone roast.

Take lots of notes while you roast and you will be able to adjust future roasts to suit you.

Just becuase it arrvies at the destination doesnt mean its ready to be collected... and dont fret if it looks like its not moving as tracking is pretty lazy until it gets to the destination post office.

Typically the pickup points will post in this thread when the coffee is available.

Just got word from home that the boxes of beans have arrived. Now to fire up the Behmor and roast like theres no tomorrow. Thanks for the advice about sleep, wont be much in the next week with all the coffee consumption that is going to happen!!!

Received my order yesterday; Indian mm and eth gambella. Cant wait to fire up the coretto and roast them up; very keen to try both these coffees! In retrospect I should have got some huehue as well; guess itll have to wait till next month.

18,700 emails sent.  We send them to the email address you have using in the forum (under [UserCP] at the top).  Gmail and Hotmail sometimes toss it into the "trash" as we send so many emails at once to their users it looks like spam.

Its also posted in this forum before the green beans sale too... so plenty of notification options.

Yep, and after a quick look in the Snobbery there is nearly no chance of it still being there next month.

We will be landing different beans for the mid-Feb BB sale, and there are no more Guats in the customs clearance queue.

Selecting [Hide email from public] is fine... in fact I would recommend it.

The monthly email we send will still use the email address above that to send you an email whichever way you set [hide email from public]

Advance notice to WA CSs

Gary at Gala will be demonstrarting his KKTO roaster at this months bean bay pickup meet.

Meet is scheduled for Saturday 28th @2.30pm. If you want to see Garys setup but dont have beans to pickup you are welcome to attend. Just PM me to let me know you are coming. He will have roasted beans so if you want some bring a 250 gm bag along.

I will confirm meet when beans arrive in WA.

Hey Andy,

Was just wondering if its possible at some point for beanbay to display when stock of a particular bean is getting low, rather than just "available" or "sold out"? Might just help some of us with juggling multiple bean wishes; if not do-able of course no dramas, but just thought Id ask...

Loving my current Sulawesi and Yirgacheffe crop too, btw; thanks for feeding my habit! ;D

We already do that sometimes. The gotcha is... whats "low"? We can sell 200kg of a single bean in a morning so it can go from available to gone in a flash.

The India Kodagu Geisha in BeanBay is showing as 10kg in stock currently...

As always when its gone its gone, the slide indicator might not help much so buy what you want when its available and dont get too upset when its gone.

Pretty sure that BeanBay already does this.
Dont know how the threshold where the display changes from Available to n Kgs in stock works, but it seems to work for me.
